Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and More Stars React to 2025 Golden Globe Nominations

The Golden Globes are here to kick off the 2025 award season.

And this year’s slate of nominees proved the competition will be fierce on Sunday, January 5 when the award show, hosted by Nikki Glaser, airs live from the Beverly Hills Hilton.

On the film side, it should come as no surprise that Wicked was among the most decorated movies, earning four nominations including a lead actress nomination for Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and a supporting actress nomination for Ariana Grande’s Glinda. (See the full list here.)

As Ariana wrote on social media, “i am floored and honored to be recognized by members of the Golden Globes. crying (of course)… It’s impossible to find my words, but I am simply, so deeply grateful for this acknowledgement.”

Other standout acting performances to earn nominations include Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Nicole Kidman (Babygirl), Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown) and Angelina Jolie (Maria) in the best actor and actress categories.

On the supporting actor and actress side, Selena Gomez earned her first film nomination at the award show for her role in Emilia Pérez. (The 32-year-old also earned a nomination for her role in Only Murders in the Building.)
