Selena Gomez has nothing but love for her costars!
The actress got fans talking on Sunday, Sept. 14 after a video began circulating on X from the 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
In the clip, the Only Murders in the Building star, 33, turned to look at her fellow costars Martin Short, who was beaming down at his phone, and Steve Martin.
After looking at Short’s phone, Gomez sweetly pouted while turning to her fiancé Benny Blanco with a smile. She then seemingly mouthed the words, “Marty’s texting Meryl.”
Meryl Streep, who plays Short’s love interest on the hit Hulu series and has been rumored to be dating him in real life, was absent from the awards show.
Short, 75, recently sang Streep’s praises, as her detailed his experience working with his Oscar-winning costar ahead of the forthcoming fifth season of their hit Hulu series — and he didn’t hesitate to commend her on-set attitude.
After being asked what fans would be “surprised” to learn about Streep, Short described his costar’s approach to Entertainment Tonight.
“I think just how easy she is, how loose she is,” he said in the interview on Tuesday, Sept. 2. “She doesn’t carry any of her 21 Oscar nominations to the set.”
“She has a right to be a diva. And she’s just so polite and fun and generous,” Martin, 80, said, as Gomez reiterated that Streep is “the best person.”
“I still have pinch-me moments on set all the time when I’m looking at her,” Gomez added.

At the Emmys, the former Disney star arrived to the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles in a stunning ensemble. She wore a bold red floor-length Louis Vuitton halter gown featuring a high neckline that extended down in a sweeping floor-length train accentuating the open back of her dress.
Her hair was tied into a slicked-back updo to display her dazzling Tiffany & Co. earrings, which also coordinated with her hand jewelry, including more Tiffany & Co. pieces. She finished her look with strappy Santoni heels.
Meanwhile, Blanco looked dashing in an all-black look consisting of a suit and beaded mock neck top.
The two showed plenty of PDA while posing for photos on the carpet with Blanco planting kisses on Gomez’s cheek.
The Rare Beauty mogul didn’t get any nods at the 2025 Emmys, but at last year’s awards, she received her first solo nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Mabel in the Hulu series. The show, however, was nominated for Best Comedy Series at the awards ceremony and Short also received a nod for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series.
