Seth Meyers has drunk himself silly with the best of them in the name of hilarious TV — but one celebrity stands out the most.
The Late Night With Seth Meyers host, 51, is known for the popular “Seth Goes Day Drinking” segment on his late-night talk show, with past guests including Dua Lipa, Kristen Stewart, Paul Rudd and Lorde.
But his best drinking buddy? None other than Rihanna, who drank Meyers under the table when she went drink for drink with the comedian in 2019.
“I will say Rihanna, who’s the best at a lot of categories, but she just kept her composure,” Meyers recalled on the Wednesday, May 21, episode of the “Table Manners With Jessie and Lennie Ware” podcast. “We just [gave] her stupid drinks. There was like a ‘Bitch Better Have My Bunny’ where we drank something out of a chocolate bunny.”
Meyers and Rihanna’s infamous “Day Drinking” segment is among the most popular in Late Night history, with over 20 million views on YouTube.
Over the years, Meyers’ drinking session with Rihanna, 37, has become the stuff of legend.
During a 2023 appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Meyers said that filming with “Rihanna was the drunkest I’ve ever been and it was worth every second of it.”
“First of all, I should note that — hate to break the news here — but she’s younger than me. We drank the same amount and then she definitely went out, like she was fine,” he added. “She walked out, she looked as good as she did when we started.”

Meyers, however, didn’t feel so fresh after filming the recurring segment.
“I went home, immediately fell asleep in the hallway of my apartment. Got in the door, fell asleep. My wife passively-aggressively put a water next to my head and went to bed,” he said.
Meyers even showed viewers a photo of him passed out in his hallway with a solitary glass of water beside him. “I like that I have my phone on my chest just in case Rihanna called,” he quipped.
Earlier this year, Kevin Hart recalled how he “almost died” after shooting a “Day Drinking” segment with Meyers in 2024.

“I came into that day with such an idea of who I thought I was. I was like, ‘This gonna be crazy. I’m gonna drink with Seth, show him what I do because I know I drink like I used to’ … and I almost died,” Hart, 45, joked during a March Late Night appearance. “There was really a chance where it was over.”
“And then you called me the next morning and yelled at me like I had tried to kill you,” Meyers added.
