Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador’s ex-husband, David Beador, was issued a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife, Lesley Beador, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
David, 60, filed a petition for protection against Lesley, 41, on Tuesday, June 17, and requested that Lesley be ordered to stay 100 yards away from him, his home and his work. The only exception he requested was for custody exchanges of their 4-year-old daughter, Anna Love.
The court also ordered that Lesley vacate his Newport Beach, Calif., home, and Lesley, Anna and Inga and Indris Pukke stay at the Montana home for the remainder of the summer. Inga and Indris are her children from a previous relationship.
“Lesley and I have had many ups and downs in our marital relationship, with prior [divorce petitions] filed and dismissed and domestic violence restraining orders. I have always been concerned that Lesley’s relationship with me has been primarily based upon her desire to live a luxurious standard of living,” David’s filing read. “In our case [it’s] not just a cliché that Lesley married me for my money. In our case it is a fact, she has made that very clear to me literally.”
As his statement in the filing continued, he accused Lesley of using Anna “as a tool to extract more money from.” He also accused Lesley of using Anna to “persuade me [to] dismiss my prior domestic violence actions.”
In June 2023, Lesley filed for a divorce and also filed for a restraining order against David, alleging he made “threats, harassment and hostile behavior” towards her and their daughter.
At the time, he also filed a protection order, stating that they had “intense and heated arguments,” and claimed, “I now genuinely fear for my safety, and that of Anna’s to the point that I have no choice but to bring this request.”
David claimed in his June 2025 filing, “Lesley has physically abused me on several occasions and only a small portion of those incidents have been detailed in previous domestic violence actions.”
“Lesley is a pathological liar and she will state under penalty of perjury literally anything that will benefit her,” he claimed, adding, “I endured countless incidents of domestic violence and abuse solely to be in a position where I can have frequent and continuing contact with Anna.”
He then recalled an incident from the night before, on Tuesday, June 10, when he and Lesley were planning a family trip to New York. However, he claimed that Lesley initiated a fight and refused to go on the trip after his friend made positive comments about him in her presence.
He claimed that on Wednesday, June 11, their argument continued and “Lesley physically attacked me, gouging large chunks of skin out of my arm,” and provided photos of his alleged injuries.
“It should be further noted that during the altercation, Lesley actually shoved her fingers into my mouth attempting to silence me and later developed a self-serving narrative that I unilaterally bit her fingers!” he claimed. David then alleged that Lesley also cornered him in the bathroom and “forcefully slapped” him at least four times across the face.
He said they did not go on the trip, and the next day, Lesley, Anna, Inga and Indris left their home in Newport Beach, Calif., and went to their home in Montana.
Once there, Lesley texted David and said she wanted a divorce. Then the following day, Friday, June 13, she accused him of being gay, which he denied.
As his filing continued, he also noted that after their argument, he canceled the purchase of a “very expensive necklace.” He claimed this upset Lesley, and as a result, she was “weaponizing Anna for her [own] benefit.”
“Rather than letting me speak with Anna, she threatened that she was going to get her own three (3) year restraining order against me. This has been her pattern in the past,” he continued. “In the incidents of domestic violence against me she has a pattern of routine falsely alleging domestic violence against her.” He continued, “Lesley’s mental state is disturbing and nonsensical.”
PEOPLE reached out to David and Lesley for further comment.
A hearing on whether the restraining order will become permanent is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8.
