Janelle Brown is giving fans a glimpse at how her late son Garrison Brown interacted with his siblings prior to his death in the upcoming episode of Sister Wives.
“He was always very much involved with the young kids,” Janelle, 55, recalls during Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek at the Sunday, May 11, episode of the TLC series. “He was very mindful of Truely.”
As Janelle reflects on her late son, viewers get a look at Garrison’s interactions with his siblings firsthand with throwback home videos. In one clip, Garrison teaches Christine Brown and dad Kody Brown’s youngest daughter, Truely Brown, how to garden.
“Garrison was always somebody who wanted to be working with his hands,” Janelle, 55, recalls of her son. “He did his best when he was working with his hands.”
In another home video, Garrison jumps around the living room with some of his younger siblings while their parents look on and laugh.
Additional videos of Garrison, who died in March 2024, carrying Truely around when she was little show how caring he was as one of the older kids. That love extended to the youngest Brown children as well.
“Robyn [Brown] would comment that he would come over every day to see Sol and Ari,” Janelle explains in the preview, referring to Kody and his fourth wife’s two children, Solomon and Ariella. Janelle gushes, “He was always very much about his younger siblings.”
Janelle became Kody’s second wife in 1993, joining him and first wife Meri Brown to start their plural family.
Janelle and Kody welcomed Garrison (full name Robert Garrison) in April 1998, as well as his five siblings: Logan, Maddie, Hunter, Gabriel and Savanah. Meri, for her part, shares one child with Kody, 55.
Kody added to their plural family in 1994 by spiritually marrying Christine, with whom he shares six children. In 2014, he legally wed fourth wife Robyn, 46, after legally divorcing Meri, 54. Kody proceeded to adopt Robyn’s three kids from a prior marriage.
In November 2021, Christine, 53, announced her split from Kody. Janelle followed in December 2022 and Meri confirmed her separation from the patriarch in January 2023. One year later, tragedy struck the family when Us confirmed in March 2024 that Garrison died by suicide at age 25.
