The White Lotus incest story line is all anyone can talk about — and that goes for the cast of Saturday Night Live, too.
In the Saturday, March 29, episode of the sketch show, host Mikey Madison and cast member Marcello Hernandez participated in an “Acting Teacher” skit. Hernandez, 27, played the eponymous professor, who led his class in a variety of bizarre acting exercises based on past commercial and reality TV monologues.
“Who’s the expert here? You with zero acting credits or me with three?” Hernandez’s teacher fired back after a student played by Andrew Dismukes questioned his credentials. “No. 1: Wipeout, [where] I busted my face on a big red ball. No. 2 [was] What Would You Do? With John Quiñones. [I] did not help and was racist.”
His third pretend credit was for HBO’s hit anthology series The White Lotus.

“No. 3: The White Lotus,” Hernandez added. “Auditioned for the incest scene with my biological brother, and I didn’t hate it.”
Dismukes’ character then asked whether it was true that his teacher “didn’t get the part and made out with [his] own brother.”
“David, can I tell you something that might sound a bit mean?” Hernandez joked back. “I would give anything for you to lose your hair and not be able to fix it.”
While the rest of the skit went on without any more White Lotus mentions, the series itself has been a frequent topic of conversation this month. In the March 23 episode of the White Lotus, characters Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola) shared an intimate scene despite their characters being biological siblings. (The actors, meanwhile, are not related.)
“When I got the part, I remember talking to Patrick Schwarzenegger, and one of his audition scenes was the scene with Chloe [Charlotte Le Bon] where she’s like, ‘Your brother jerked you off last night. You don’t remember?’ And he’s like, ‘No, I totally blacked out,’” Nivola, 21, recalled to Variety in March. “So he told me that, and I was like, ‘Weird … I wonder what that’s all about.’”
He added, “Then we both had to sign in our contracts that we were comfortable with nude scenes on camera. Then we got the scripts about a week later, and I read all of them in one sitting, on the plane to Thailand. We all just trusted each other, and that dynamic worked well. In the scene, Patrick and I are brothers, with this girl who we just met, like, the day before.”
Ahead of Saxon and Lochlan’s threesome, they shared a kiss in an earlier scene. Only time will tell how their relationship will change throughout the remainder of The White Lotus episodes.
