‘SNL’ Star Chloe Fineman Reveals Monthly Rent of Her New York City Apartment: ‘West Village Girlie’

Renting an apartment in New York City is its own beast — and even Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman has to shell out the big bucks for her own slice of Manhattan real estate.

Fineman, 36, met up with real estate influencer Caleb Simpson for a Saturday, May 24, TikTok video, where he asked for her monthly rent during an impromptu home tour.

“I pay $5,500,” Fineman said, subsequently looking shocked when Simpson called it a good deal. “Is it? OK, to be a West Village girlie [it’s] all right.”

While there is a lot to love about her NYC pad, Fineman was particularly taken by the wall accents.

Stacey Bendet’s New York City apartment perfectly reflects her colorful brand, Alice + Olivia. TikTok user Caleb Simpson, who regularly tours celebrity apartments, asked Bendet, 45, to show off her not-so-humble abode on Monday, April 29. “This is where I rollerblade,” the designer said while stepping into her lively home, which is 6,800-square-feet and located […]

“The crown molding [is what] I’m really stoked about,” she quipped. “It’s how I found the apartment. I, kind of, Googled, ‘Crown molding.’”

Fineman’s apartment includes a handful of rooms, separated by a vintage sliding door, though there are some blemishes along the way. (Simpson even pointed out some “cracks in the ceiling.”)

“Strategically, I’m like, ‘It’s falling apart. You cannot raise my rent,’” Fineman joked, taking Simpson over to see her view outside. “When the cheugy PR girls of the West Village are yapping outside my window, I can block them out [with the wooden shutters] or I can go, ‘Hello!’”

Moving Simpson further into her space, Fineman showed off her teal-colored bathroom.

“I painted this,” she added, highlighting the chandelier above. “I got in Cleveland for $100!”

While Fineman’s decor is an eclectic mix of art representing her signature style and bond with family — she has paintings made by her mom and sister — there is another surprising twist about her place.

“I have this in the oven, which is where I keep … mostly there’s usually wigs,” she said. “If I’m trying to remember to buy a wig, I just shove it in the oven. No one has stuff in the oven? Where do they put it?”

Don’t fret, Fineman, because you are not alone. Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker’s classic character from Sex and the City with her own West Village studio, famously proclaimed that she uses an oven to store her shoe collection.

Over on Instagram, a social media user asked in the comments section why Fineman kept her belongings in the kitchen.

“Because I have no effin room!!” she replied.

Other followers quickly pointed out that the comedian wasn’t alone.

“And New Yorkers don’t use their ovens, like, duh,” another Instagram user replied, with a third noting, “I legit have no space, and put stuff in my oven. No shame.”
