Donald Trump is trading in his seat in the oval office for a seat in a suite.
The 47th president of the United States has officially made an appearance at Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans, marking the first time a sitting president has attended the big game. Joining him Feb. 9 was daughter Ivanka Trump and grandson Theodore Kushner, 9.
Ahead of him watching the Philadelphia Eagles face off against the Kansas City Chiefs, officials confirmed that over 2,700 state, federal and local law enforcement members would be present to help secure the premises, with security measuring increasing after Trump’s presence was confirmed.
But members of the Secret Service weren’t the only ones alerted to the former reality star’s appearance. In fact, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said it was a “great honor” to have him attend the event.
“That’s awesome,” the athlete, who is currently dating Taylor Swift, told reporters during media day on Feb. 5. “I think you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there—it’s the best country in the world—and that’s pretty cool.”
