Producers of the Conan O’Brien-hosted 2026 Oscars ceremony previously confirmed a Bridesmaids cast reunion is also set for the show, which will also showcase a reunion of Marvel Cinematic Universe stars.

At a March 11 press conference, the creative team for the 2026 Oscars teased details of the upcoming awards show. Oscars executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan shed light on a few surprises, including “huge reunions" in the works.

“There’s been rumors of what that [reunion] is, and we are very excited to announce that we have a Bridesmaids reunion that is going to be very special,” Kapoor said.

“There’s also going to be a Marvel reunion for the superhero fans, so we’re going to have superstars and superheroes,” Mullan added. “And there is also going to be an extraterrestrial on the stage, so you can figure that one out.”

In November, 20th Century Studios released a first look at the David Frankel-directed The Devil Wears Prada 2, which in addition to Hathaway, Streep, Blunt and Tucci will costar Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen and Conrad Ricamora.

Original film stars Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman will also reprise their roles in the sequel.

O'Brien recently opened up about returning to the telecast while speaking to Extra.

"I had a lot of fun, to be honest with you," said O'Brien, who hosted the ceremony for the first time in 2025. "It's a really fun gig, and I had a lot of fun, and I just wanted to do it again. And then the movies this year have been insane. It was such a great year for movies that I'm excited to be even a small part of it."
