Survivor’s Boston Rob Shares Update After Daughter Hospitalized for ‘Pretty Severe’ Plant Reaction

Boston Rob Mariano’s daughter Carina is on the mend after a “pretty severe” reaction to a plant while on vacation in Mexico.

The Survivor alum, 49, shared a photo of a large green plant via his Instagram Stories on Monday, June 16, and wrote, “My #CarinaRose got poked by this plant yesterday on the golf course…long story short we ended up in the hospital last night.”

“She had a pretty severe reaction to the plant and was in a lot of pain! The doctors did an ultrasound to look for the spine, but instead found an abundance of fluid inside her knee near where the plant pricked her and prescribed some antibiotics and anti-inflammatories,” Mariano shared, per People.

“Thankfully, she’s feeling much better today!” Mariano concluded.

The reality TV favorite shared another photo of the plant and wrote, “We have identified the culprit El Datilillo, ‘The Spanish Dagger.’”

Mariano and wife Amber, 46, share four daughters: Lucia, 15, Carina, Isabetta, 13, and Adelina, 10.

The Traitors alum has documented his family trip to the Hilton Los Cabos in Cabos San Lucas over the past several days. On Sunday, June 15, he marked Father’s Day with a sweet carousel of images of his wife and daughters via Instagram, writing, “Absolutely Perfect!!! Father’s Day with my Family! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️”

Back in May, Mariano celebrated Carina’s graduation from middle school by sharing a series of snaps taken from her graduation ceremony via Instagram.

“Last night my #CarinaRose Graduated. She received one of her schools top honor, The Leadership award! I was so overcome with emotion… I cried like a baby!!! I’m so proud!” Mariano captioned the post.

“#CarinaRose you are so kind and smart and beautiful, and you will succeed in whatever you do. You are a wonderful daughter and a great sister. You are a Champion! I love you with all of my heart! 💖,” Mariano wrote.

The Survivor favorite recently addressed fans who were disappointed that he would not be part of the cast of the show’s upcoming 50th season.
