T.I. is opening up about the moment he realized his beef with 50 Cent had gone too far.
The “Whatever You Like” rapper appeared on the Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show on Tuesday, March 3, and spoke about feeling like his son King, 21, crossed a line when he wore a T-shirt that featured a photo of 50 Cent’s late mother Sabrina.
“I said ‘That’s enough’ when I seen that damn T-shirt. I said, ‘Man, this is enough… Chill out bro,’” he said. “I’m big on treating people the way I want to be treated. I don’t be out here just doing unto others in ways I don’t want to be done. And so I don’t want to see my children doing others the way they like… Man, ‘This is in response.’ I’m like, ‘Man, but it’s over with. Let it go. Let this s— go.’”
T.I., 45, and 50 Cent, 50, have been going back and forth in recent weeks after T.I. called out 50 for backing out of a Verzuz battle they allegedly both agreed to.
50 then shared an unflattering photo of T.I.’s wife Tiny Harris to Instagram, which inspired a number of posts from Tiny and T.I.’s song King, including the diss track “Sayless.” In a video for the song, King wore the T-shirt that featured Sabrina, who died in a fire when 50 Cent was just 8 years old.
Meanwhile, his son Domani, 24, also put out a song about 50 Cent's mom called "Ms. Jackson."
Though T.I. also released a handful of diss tracks about the “In da Club” rapper, he expressed frustration on the radio show about his family members getting involved in the situation.
“I don’t enjoy it. I do not. Simply because I’ve spent so much time trying to get [King] off the ledge. And now he has justifiable means to undo all the teachings that I’ve been teaching,” he said. “I’m a logical, reasonable man of respect. And I raise my children to be men of respect, [to be] logical, reasonable and not to be emotional. And when I see King, how he moving, it’s emotional.”
T.I. said he understood where his son was coming from, as the “matriarch of our household” was dragged “into some nonsense,” referring to the photo posted by 50 Cent (né Curtis Jackson). He acknowledged a sense of pride in seeing King standing up for his mother.

“The one thing that I am proud of out of all of this is that the women and children in our family see that it’s a line of men that’s here against who the f–– ever,” he said. “I ain’t here to defeat. I’m here to defend. I’m here to protect what’s ours, what we built.”
Regardless, T.I. (né Clifford Harris) said he understands that he’s not “everybody’s cup of tea,” and is okay with that, so long as he is not being disrespected.
“I’m real big on treating motherf—ers the way they decide they gonna treat me. I don’t give a f–k who raps. I don't give a f–– who wants to do Verzuz, my life is full,” he said. “I live a life that I am happy with… As a man, if you don’t like what I said, then you shouldn’t have handled it that way.”
T.I. and Tiny, 50, married in 2010, and are parents to seven children as part of their blended family.
The rapper is set to release a new album, Kill the King, at some point this year.
