Teddi Mellencamp Debuts Bald Red Carpet Look at Unforgettable Gala amid Cancer Journey

Teddi Mellencamp is embracing a new look amid her cancer journey.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, stepped out in Los Angeles on Monday, April 28 to attend An Unforgettable Evening 2025 Gala — her first time at any formal event since she shared in February that her melanoma had spread to her lungs and brain.

It was February when she also revealed her shaved head to remove the tumors in her brain.

For Monday’s event, a fundrasier for the Women’s Cancer Research Fund, Mellencamp confidently posed on the red carpet with her buzz cut and an all-black blazer and pants set. She accessorized with silver necklaces and earrings.

Earlier in the day, she shared content on her Instagram Stories of herself getting ready with the help of her glam team, who gave her a flawless makeup look.

“Pre-glam,” she wrote over a photo of herself sitting in a bedroom with her back towards the camera.

Her surgery scars were visible.

She posted the same photo to her Instagram feed, elaborating more in the caption.

“It’s been 76 days since I went to the ER with unbearable headaches and quickly found out I had multiple stage 4 tumors ‘the size of plums’ in my brain and lungs. Melanoma had metastasized there and been there for ‘6 months to a year’ and we had no clue,” the former Bravo star wrote.

She continued, “Since that day, I have had multiple surgeries, had rage from the steroids, felt very sick, laughed a ton, ridden horses, loved on my kids and felt great.”

Mellencamp admitted that she “cried” the first time she saw the photo of herself, with new scars covering her head, as well as older ones after spending years removing 17 different spots of melanoma.

“Then, I felt a warmness rush through my body and felt so much peace. Peace from the incredible support system I have in my family and friends. Peace from the outpouring of love from y’all on here. Peace in knowing my story could help somebody save their life,” she added of how her mood changed.

Before ending her caption, she continued sending positive words.

“Sending love to anyone struggling and reminding you if something isn’t feeling right to go get checked. Advocate for yourself,” Mellencamp wrote. “We have got this.”

Last week, Mellencamp shared positive news, stating in an April 23 Instagram video that all her tumors have “shrunk or disappeared.” She said doctors are optimistic “that this all will work and that I will be back to myself and feeling good.”

Mellencamp added that after her two remaining immunotherapy sessions, “Hopefully I am done and I will be cancer-free.”
