Teddi Mellencamp is reminding her fans that sometimes it’s okay to not be okay.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, April 9, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, got candid with her followers about having a difficult day amid her cancer journey.
The post showcased two side-by-side photos of Mellencamp. On the left, the former reality star could be seen with her long blonde hair and wearing makeup. On the right was a photo of the bald side of her head.
While she had previously shaved her head into a buzz cut before surgery, Mellencamp recently revealed that her brain tumor treatment is causing hair loss.

Next to the images, Mellencamp wrote, “What a difference 4 months makes.”
“Sometimes I am so focused on ‘being strong’ that I forget I am allowed to be sad, cry it out, and feel very alone. I love my kids, friends, and family so much and am forever grateful to them but dang today is one of those days,” her caption continued.
“If you are having a day where you can’t wait for it to be bedtime so you can start over tomorrow leave me a ❤️ We are not alone,” she added.
Mellencamp ended her post by asking for recommendations for things to watch on television besides Netflix and Hulu, and added the hashtag, “#overyoucancer.”
In the comment section, Mellencamp received support from her fans and celebrity friends, including The Real Housewives of Dubai star Caroline Stanbury, who wrote, “you’re strong and beautiful ❤️❤️ watch bridesmaids always makes me laugh.”
The Real Housewives of Dallas star Stephanie Hollman commented, “We love you ❤️.” The Real Housewives of Miami star Marysol Patton recommended that Mellencamp “watch the Righteous Gemstones it’s funny.”
Mellencamp’s post comes days after she confirmed on Wednesday, April 2, that her cancer is now stage 4.
“I gotta tell you, some days I feel really really strong and some days I feel really really sad and alone,” she shared in an Instagram Stories video, after thanking her followers for their kind messages.
“And I think that’s a normal part of what any of us are going through, and that’s okay. Stage 4 cancer can be scary,” she continued.

After sharing that she had immunotherapy and radiation on the same day, she said she thought she had “beaten” cancer until “a couple days later, I found out I had four more tumors. So there’s so many different highs and lows.”
