The Chrisley Family’s Quotes About Todd and Julie Going to Prison After Fraud Sentencing

The “Southern Tea” podcast host shared that she was coping with the news by leaning on her close friends.

“The best girlfriends, show up in the bad times with hugs and champagne,” she wrote via her Instagram Story in November 2022.

Lindsie later reflected on her parents’ sentencing in an official statement to HollywoodLife in December 2022, saying: “I wanted to take a step back and begin to process everything before speaking and making any statements. The past few months have been extremely hard for me and my family, and I am heartbroken over the updates in my parents’ case that occurred late last month.”

She also thanked fans for their support, adding: “I am heartbroken and navigating this process the best way I know how. At the end of the day, this is a real family, and these are real and raw emotions. With that being said, thank you all for your love, support and prayers. It really means the world to my family and me.”

During an April 2023 episode of her “Southern Tea” podcast, Lindsie revealed that her dad made “great friends” in prison. “He looks very, very good,” she said. “I told him, I said, ‘Even your hair looks better, a little bit longer and a little bit grayer.’ His nails aren’t completely bitten off. … His spirits are great,” she said.

One month later, Lindsie slammed speculation about why she hasn’t visited Julie in prison. “There were some rumors that went around after our last podcast episode that the reason that I have not seen Julie was because she doesn’t want to see me, and that is just untrue,” she said on a May 2023 episode of her “The Southern Tea” podcast with her grandmother “Nanny” Faye Chrisley, who confirmed that the wait time for visitor approval is long.

“The reason you didn’t get to go see her is because I was waiting in line myself,” Faye explained. “When she put me on the list, she thought I’d be [visiting] right away. I’m the next thing to her mother. They said, ‘Well, mother-in-laws are not blood, so you have to wait.’ [It’s been] three months and I’ve only got to see her three times. It was almost two months before I ever got to see her because of the way they carry on their list. They take their own time.”
