‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Season 2 Teaser: Swinger Miranda Joins Cast, Whitney Returns

Grab an extra-large dirty soda because the first look at The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 2 is here — and there’s a new swinger in the mix.

Miranda McWhorter made her debut in the season 2 teaser, which Hulu dropped on Monday, March 10, while attending a western-themed event with the ladies.

“Is that Miranda,” one of the MomTok wives asks in the video as Miranda, 26, walks up wearing a white tank top, black shorts, a straw cowboy hat and silver jewelry. “That’s the girl that was swinging with Taylor,” another woman adds.

Two years after MomTok became a TikTok phenomenon, Taylor Frankie Paul raised eyebrows when she revealed she was into “soft swinging” with other people’s partners. (The scandal in 2022 came amid Taylor’s divorce from ex-husband Tate Paul.)

While Taylor, 30, initially kept quiet about who was involved from the MomTok community, Miranda and Camille Mundy were later named as potential participants in the swinging community.

Taylor exclusively told Us Weekly in September 2024 that she wouldn’t be surprised if Miranda and Camille popped up during season 2. She also revealed that while Camille had been supportive of her on the Hulu show, Miranda wasn’t exactly Taylor’s biggest fan.

“There’s some animosity there from me exposing my story and knowing that she’s probably the one people allude to. So she probably feels all this animosity toward me,” Taylor explained at the time. “I’ve called her out on certain things, so I don’t know if she’s a huge fan of me. I could imagine it’s extremely uncomfortable for her to have to come on if she chose to. I think she knows that she’d have to talk about things if she is never talked about as well.”

Miranda joining the crew isn’t the only shake up this season. After making waves during season 1, Whitney Leavitt reveals where she stands with the social media stars. (Whitney left MomTok during season 1.)

“They’re holding grudges because I don’t even know why,” Whitney, 31, explains in the teaser.

Jen Affleck, meanwhile, had her marital issues play out on camera before filming resumed. In the video, Jen’s husband, Zac Affleck, arrives at their home with what appears to be a bouquet of apology flowers.

In another moment, one of the women holds up a positive pregnancy test — a test that could belong to Jen, 25, as she announced her third pregnancy in February.

Taylor, meanwhile, butts heads with her on-off boyfriend Dakota Mortensen in the preview. “I don’t want to fight with you,” he says. “Then don’t,” Taylor responds.

The trailer also shows two men fighting — one of which is dressed like a Chippendales dancer — the police being called on the group and at least one costumed event.

“Honestly the show must go on,” Demi Engemann concludes. Hulu meanwhile teases that this season will be all about leading the wives “into temptation.”

Season 2 will also include OG stars Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley and Mikayla Matthews.

According to the network, the new episodes will focus on the “scandalous world” of MomTok after the women behind the trend made even more headlines following their reality TV debut.

“When an original swinger from their infamous sex scandal makes a surprise return, friendships threaten to unravel as secrets, lies, and allegations explode,” Hulu teased in the official press release. “In a battle for the soul of #MomTok, will betrayal shatter the sisterhood, or will the truth set them free?”

Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premieres on Hulu Thursday, May 15.
