Don’t believe everything you read about The Valley.
After a report surfaced claiming Bravo is possibly putting the reality show on pause due to declining ratings and “problematic behavior” from the cast, executive producer Alex Baskin decided to set the record straight.
“There is NO TRUTH to this,” Baskin wrote via his Instagram Story on Thursday, May 15, before adding the sunshine emoji.
In fact, the man behind the camera was praising the cast long before season 2 ever premiered in April.
“It’s intense the entire way through,” Baskin shared on Bravo Bravo F’ing Bravo With Kate Chastain after sharing a sneak peek of the premiere. “That is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s a wild ride, very unexpected and things continue to happen, so we think there are epilogues to the season at this point. We have to be done at some point. The show has to air.”
Although there are plenty of story lines waiting to unfold as season 2 continues airing on Bravo, the cast — including Jesse Lally, Janet Caperna, Kristen Doute and others — has already filmed the reunion show.
On May 2, Bravo revealed the seating chart, with exes Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright sitting closest to Andy Cohen.
While Michelle Saniei was seated at the end, she assured Us that where you are placed for the reunion doesn’t have much significance because every cast member brought the drama.
“I was told that it was actually one of the hardest seating charts to do because there were just so many people that didn’t get along,” Michelle, 38, told Us on May 6. “At one point, I was next to Brittany and it just kept switching and switching until the last minute.”
The Bravo star continued, “I don’t think it means anything. And they told me that it didn’t. To be honest, I didn’t want to be directly across from [my estranged husband] Jesse, so I was fine with it.”
In recent episodes, Michelle and Jesse, 43, have been at odds as they struggle to coparent their 4-year-old daughter, Isabella, in the middle of their divorce.
Meanwhile, the Tuesday, May 13, episode put Danny Booko and Nia Sanchez’s relationship under the microscope when Brittany, 36, (who is going through her own divorce from Jax, 45) questioned whether they were being “genuine.”
