Michael Bublé is taking his Voice coaching duties seriously by rocking some Reba McEntire socks
“These are the finest socks ever,” he said of his fashion accessories
The returning coaches — including Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg — are back on set of season 28, which premieres in September
Michael Bublé is back on set for season 28 of The Voice — and he’s taking fashion inspiration from fellow coach Reba McEntire.
In a behind-the-scenes look at the first day on set, Bublé, 49, showed off his socks featuring McEntire’s face all over them while sitting in one of the reality music competition’s iconic red chairs.
“These are the finest socks ever,” the “Spicy Margarita” singer joked as he pulled his pant leg to reveal his fashion accessory. “Look at how beautiful [they are]. They’re smiling at me.”
“Hey, Mike, I’m gonna beat you,” he continued in a southern accent, mimicking the country singer’s signature sound.
Elsewhere in the video, fellow returning coaches Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg teased their excitement and anticipation about being back for another chance to discover and guide standout singing competitors through to the finish.
“My ears are anxious to hear and feel what they have to bring on The Voice season 28,” the “Bad Decisions” rapper, 53, said, while the One Direction alum, 31, added that he “can’t believe I get to do this again.”
While perched in her red chair alongside the other coaches, McEntire quipped, “I get to tell them what to do, like a big sister.”
Bublé, who first appeared on the series as a part-time advisor in season 3, is coming off a win on season 27 after previously making his coaching debut on season 26.
The singer helped Adam David, the 35-year-old singer-songwriter from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., get to the finale where he was named the champion in May. They beat out teams led by Adam Levine, John Legend and Kelsea Ballerini.
McEntire, 70, first joined as coach in season 24 after multiple part-time advisor stints. She also coached seasons 25 and 26 before sitting out the last installment. Horan previously coached seasons 23 and 24 while Dogg took his seat on the panel in season 26.
The Voice season 28 premieres Monday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and will continue to air on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
