After Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s new song “Don’t Wanna Cry” dropped on Friday, March 21, the official lyric video pointed to a sweet hidden easter egg in the singer’s wardrobe.
While only the lyric video, and not the music video, has been revealed, it’s illustrated by a series of camcorder-style outtakes from this photo, which also serves as the cover art for the vinyl album.
Blanco, 37, has his arms wrapped around Gomez, 33, who is rocking an oversized black men’s T-shirt with the number “11” splashed across the front in larger, highlighter-bright yellow text.
Even seen through the hazy, fever dream-like filtered lens, it seemed like Gomez’s message was clear: this was not a random number. Eleven is an intentional reference to a date that marks the couple’s biggest milestone yet: December 11, 2024, which — lest you forget — is when she announced she was engaged to Blanco via Instagram with the caption: “Forever begins now.”

Selena Gomez and fiancé Benny Blanco are now personal and professional partners. Gomez, 32, shared a series of photos of herself with Blanco, 36, as she announced news of her new album, I Said I Love You First, via her Instagram on Thursday, February 13. “I always trick you guys 🥰 my NEW album I […]
What’s more, on March 11, 2025, Gomez posted a throwback photo taken on their first date. “Our first date was on Sunset Blvd, and it’s also the title of our next song together 🖤” she captioned a black-and-white snap of them snuggled up on the couch after going out for shrimp curry on Sunset Boulevard. (They even went back to recreate the same dinner the night before.)
As Selenators can attest, Gomez has demonstrated a strong love for numerology over the years, a fascination that she’s put into practice through her growing tattoo collection, which includes dates and digits that bear significance that is similar to her December 11 engagement.
Gomez has her mother’s birthday in Roman numerals on the back of her neck; a date on her left hip commemorates the time she met one of her best friends; the number “1” on her rib cage is for Courtney Lopez, whom she called her “actual #1” in a birthday shoutout with a photo of their tiny twinning tattoos; the “4” on her forearm is shared by Lopez and two of their other friends; the date on the back of her right arm is when she underwent surgery for a kidney transplant, which she later revealed is a tattoo that she got with her friend and kidney donor Francia Raisa.
Fast-forward to today, Gomez is continuing to wear her heart on her sleeve, which stands to reason, at least in part, why she also said that she prefers the vinyl over the digital album art.
As seen in an Instagram Story video Blanco posted that Gomez reshared, she held up the vinyl album for the camera. Visibly giddy, couldn’t help but giggle next to her fiancé, who kicked off the clip: ‘Guys, this is [the] brand new cover for vinyl and this is direct-to-consumer,” he said. “Can you believe that?”

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are celebrating Valentine’s Day with a new album and their first joint interview, published on Friday, February 14, where they shared intimate details about how they met and fell in love — as well as their love of date-night dressing, among other things. Gomez, 32, and Blanco, 36, sat down […]
“This is actually my favorite,” Gomez gushed while sharing Blanco’s excitement that it’s exclusively available on her website. “And it’s real pur-ddy” she added in her Texas twang.
Even though “11” wasn’t written on her T-shirt at the time, the look of love was written all over her face. Ditto for the video that followed, which showed the duo side-by-side in bed as they took turns autographing copies of the new vinyl albums that were sprawled across their sheets.
If that doesn’t spell out happiness, we don’t know what does. But there’s little doubt that there will be more blissful moments shared between the couple, and perhaps even more style easter eggs in their future, as they continue to promote their new album on the road to the altar and beyond.
