Planning a 2026 trip to Disney World? There may be a method to having the best vacation possible.

According to a study done by USA Today, from mid-January to early February, the Orlando park is the least crowded, with the exception of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the weekend leading into it.

This sweet spot is right after the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and before schools pause for winter break around President’s Day, the study claims.

If potential visitors can’t go these days, there are other times throughout the year when they can reportedly expect fewer crowds.

USA Today also lists early March, before colleges go on spring break, along with late April, after grade schools have spring break, as quieter pockets of time. Another sweet spot to visit before schools are out is early to mid-May.

September, after Labor Day weekend through early October, once school is back in session and ahead of fall breaks, can also be a less-crowded window to visit the park. Except for Veterans Day weekend, early November tends to be less crowded as well.

Finally, early December, after Thanksgiving and ahead of the holidays, can be a quieter visiting season.

USA Today also reports that weekdays are typically less crowded than weekend days at the parks, unless there’s a day off or a break from school.

As for the least expensive month, September tends to be the cheapest time to visit, along with August. If visitors can handle the heat, that is. As of publishing, the exact dates with the least-expensive one-park ticket are Aug. 18, 20, 21, 24-28 and Sept. 1-3, 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, according to the outlet.

There’s plenty to look forward to at Disney World in 2026.
