Tim Tebow and his wife Demi-Leigh’s sex reveal party didn’t exactly go as planned.
While appearing on the Monday, March 31 episode of Good Morning America, the former NFL player and his pregnant wife spoke about their recent sex reveal party, where they revealed that they’re expecting a girl.
“Demi has this amazing idea, and she plans it. She wants to make it so sweet, so special. So two of our friends, they know [the baby’s sex],” Tim begins. “But me and Demi don’t know until we get a blank canvas; Demi’s idea. And we’re blindfolded, and we’re gonna get paint, and we’re gonna paint on it.”
“It’ll be an art piece for the nursery,” Demi-Leigh says.

“Then we’re going to take off the blindfold, and we’re going to be able to see it and react together,” Tim continues. “So we’re doing it, and we’re painting. They take off the blindfold. Eyes are closed, and they say, ‘Okay. three, two, one open your eyes.’ So we open our eyes, and they forgot…” he says, trailing off.
Demi-Leigh and Tim share that they forgot to tell their friends that the former professional athlete is color-blind.
“So they do the reveal, ‘Three, two, one, open your eyes.’ And it looks like brown-ish to me. I was like… ‘Oh no, is brown a boy or a girl?’ ” Tim recalls thinking. “She’s like, ‘You know what? It’s mauve pink or whatever.’ It wasn’t clear enough for my eyes, and I didn’t want to ruin it for Demi, so I just don’t say anything. Then she’s like, ‘It’s a girl! It’s a girl,’ and I was like, ‘It’s a girl!'”
Earlier this month, the couple announced the exciting news on Instagram that they are expecting a baby girl. The black-and-white Reel began with the couple giving their last guesses before blindfolding themselves and dipping paintbrushes into pink paint. After filling the entire canvas, the two took off their blindfolds and the Reel turned to color as they revealed they are expecting a girl.
“Baby Tebow is a…GIRL! 🎀🩷🕊️,” Demi-Leigh and Tim wrote in their joint caption. “Our greatest blessing. We’ve been praying for her long before we knew her, and we’re beyond grateful that God chose us to be her parents. We can’t wait to meet you, baby girl! 🥹.”
“To create a meaningful piece of art for the nursery, we decided to find out the gender through painting! We chose two Bible verses—one for a boy and one for a girl—to add to the canvas once it was complete,” they shared.
“Now, let’s get this nursery in order! Bring on the pink bows, ruffles, and all things sweet. 🥰.”
