Tom Brady is staying booked and busy in his retirement!
The former NFL quarterback, 48, just announced his latest gig as “Tom Upgrady” — his new “persona” which sees him upgrading fans’ backyards across the country in partnership with Ninja, he shared in an Instagram post on Monday, April 6.
“Tom Brady quarterback? Good at football. Tom Upgrady? Good at backyards,” he says in the video announcement for the new campaign.
As scenes of shocked fans seeing their backyards’ newest additions pan onto the screen, Brady continues, “I’ve been dropping off brand new Ninja products to unsuspecting fans."
He then hops on a video call with some of them and says, “You got a big upgrade coming your way,” before playfully adding, “Why isn’t anybody at work today? That’s what I want to know.”
When a younger fan then asks him if he played football for a long time, the seven-time Super Bowl champ jokes, “Yup. I’m pretty old.”
In his Instagram caption, Brady began by teasing, “Introducing my new persona… Tom Upgrady.”
The Fox Sports broadcaster continued, “All season long, @ninjakitchen and I are upgrading backyards across the country and transforming them into something legendary. So who’s next?”
He then encourages fans to “show me what you’re working with (no judgement)” throughout the summer, and tag @ninjakitchen and use #TomUpgrady on social media.
“That’s it. I’ll handle the rest,” he continues. “I didn’t retire to sit on the sidelines. Let’s get to work.”
In Ninja’s press release announcing the campaign, the company notes how they’re teaming up with Brady, who is a SharkNinja global brand ambassador, to help families reimagine their backyards and make the most out of their outdoor spaces.

“I’ve always believed winning starts with having the right tools. That’s true on the field, and it’s true in life,” Brady says in the release. “The backyard is one of my favorite places to slow down, grill some food, and enjoy time with family and friends.”
He continues, “When you’ve got great equipment, everything just comes together. That’s what got me excited about teaming up with Ninja — being able to give families an incredible backyard experience right as summer kicks off.”
