When it comes to sex, the Kelce brothers apparently gleaned all their advice from school chatter.
During the Wednesday, June 18, episode of their “New Heights” podcast, Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce were joined by their dad, Ed Kelce, who admitted he never had “the birds and the bees” talk with his sons.
“I never got any advice on sex from Dad,” Jason, 37, said. “We never had the birds and the bees talk.”
Ed added, “No, we didn’t. No, we didn’t.”
Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason then joked that the boys learned about sexual intimacy in school.

Courtesy of Travis Kelce /Instagram Taylor Swift has gotten close with Travis Kelce‘s parents as their romance heats up — but has she met his nieces? According to Travis’ dad, Ed Kelce, the 33-year-old pop star has yet to be introduced to Jason and Kylie Kelce‘s daughters: Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 7 months. […]
“He left that to the Cleveland Heights public school system,” Jason quipped, with Travis, 35, chiming in, “Yeah, health class!”
Ed noted, “I lived without it. You can too.”
The brothers added that their coaches were there to lean on for intel before Travis shared a sweet story about his dad.
“I remember I was trying to get a girl to figure out I was funny or cool in early middle school, sixth, seventh, eighth [grade], maybe younger than that, and he had this funny way of … ‘Hey, just be her friend, just be cool with her. If she doesn’t like it, pretty girls all hang around pretty girls,’” Travis, who has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift since summer 2023, said of Ed’s dating advice. “I was like, ‘All right, yeah, there you go. Just be friends with them.’”
Ed — who split from Travis and Jason’s mom, Donna Kelce, after their sons graduated college — also shared a tidbit of information he gave Jason when he was a student at University of Cincinnati.
“I told you then, and it’s true for every guy, any guy listening, ‘You know I play football and everybody talks about that, but tell me about you.’ All you gotta do is shut up and let them talk about themselves and you ain’t gotta say another word,” Ed suggested. “Nod your head and say, ‘Oh wow, yeah, cool.’ Add the little comments in there to make her feel good and just … you don’t have to say nothing.”
Jason and Travis laughed at Ed’s take on what women want while the patriarch added, “Also why I live alone.”
Jason speculated that maybe it’s because women can sense Ed is just “acting like he wants to listen” to them instead of actually listening.
“They figured you out,” Travis joked.
The trio went on to discuss the times of AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and how Jason was “uncomfortable” chatting with girls.
“I was uncomfortable?” Jason questioned, with Travis saying, “Who wasn’t, man? It was AOL Messenger, who wasn’t?”
“What about, it was awkward?” Jason asked, which led Travis to reveal he used to “eavesdrop in” on his brother’s phone conversations with girls.
Jason later admitted, “I did not know how to talk to girls.”

If Taylor Swift continues to make NFL game appearances, Travis and Jason Kelce are (jokingly) warning her to steer clear of their dad, Ed Kelce. “If you know Dad like I know Dad,” Travis, 34, began on the Wednesday, October 18, episode of his and Jason’s “New Heights” podcast, to which Jason, 35, finished, “He […]
Despite their childhood dating trials and tribulations, the Kelce brothers turned out just fine in the romance department. Jason shares four daughters — Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 3 months — with his wife of seven years, Kylie Kelce. And Travis is dating arguably the most successful musical artist of all time, Swift, 35.
“Having that confidence and comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium, that’s the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you,” Travis said of his relationship with Swift during a January appearance on the Stephen A. Smith Show.
