Travis Hunter shared pictures from his lavish wedding to wife Leanna Lenee after a tumultuous stretch for the newly-married couple.
Hunter, 22, and Lenee, 23, exchanged vows on Saturday, May 24, at The Barn at Faith Farms in Athens, Tennessee, exactly one month after Hunter was selected with the No. 2 overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2025 NFL Draft.
“Just two kids living out everything they talked about at 18 & 19 years old,” Hunter shared via Instagram on Monday, May 26.
In a carousel of photos, Hunter showed the couple’s first dance at their reception, a wedding cake made by Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro and some late night catering courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings.
Lenee also shared some photos from the couple’s big day via Instagram, her return to the social media platform after deactivating her account in December.
“On 02/26/2022 you first asked me to be your girlfriend,” Lenee wrote. “Now 3.5 years later, on 05/24/2025, I became your wife. You make me the happiest woman on this planet and I am so excited to spend forever with you.”
Lenee had comments turned off on the post.
The wedding came after months of highs and lows for the couple, which largely centered around Hunter’s Heisman Trophy win in December 2024.
Lenee ruffled some feathers the weekend of the presentation when videos circulated of her allegedly looking agitated at an Adidas pop-up shop in New York City while Hunter posed for photographs with fans.
At the Heisman Trophy ceremony itself on December 14, Lenee was also criticized for not standing up when Hunter was announced as the winner.
During a Twitch live stream the next day, Hunter revealed that Lenee was not taking the social media backlash well.
“She’s still sleeping,” Hunter said. “You know when you’re hurt but you just cry yourself to sleep? She drunk an OD amount tonight for no reason.”
He added, “It’s hard on me because I can’t even help her.”
Hunter explained all of the criticism surrounding his relationship with Lenee had also started to take a toll on him.
“Y’all hate on me and then y’all go and hate on my girl,” Hunter said. “Bro, I feel the same thing that she feels. We’re inseparable, bro. We’re with each other. If she’s hurting, of course I’m going to be hurting. If I’m hurting, of course she’s going to be hurting.”

Hunter continued, “You ain’t never had no girl, so why y’all talking ‘bout me?” Hunter asked. “Find something else to talk about. You’re talking about my girl? Go talk about your girl. Go find a girl. Go find a life I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl been with me for 5 years. Y’all are just now starting to talk about me.”
In a TikTok video posted two days later, Lenee addressed the judgment that had been thrown her way.
“The things that I see people make up is truly crazy, because it’s not what happened,” she said on December 16. “I just think people are finding every single little thing and trying to make it something it’s not. Bird brain individuals are just accepting what they see online.”
Lenee stayed off social media and away from the public eye until the NFL Draft in April, when she accompanied Hunter and his mother, Ferrante Harris, on the red carpet.
