Travis Hunter was all smiles alongside his fiancée Leanna Lenee at the 2025 NFL Draft.
Hunter, 21, walked the red carpet with Lenee and his mother Ferrante Edmonds at Lambeau Field in Green Bay on Thursday, April 24, five months after Lenee was criticized for her behavior at the Heisman Trophy ceremony in December,
The Colorado Buffaloes star wore a bright pink suit jacket over a black shirt and black pants while Lenee opted for a strapless black dress. Edmonds dazzled in an all-white ensemble as her son was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars traded up to draft Hunter second overall on Thursday night, just behind No. 1 pick Cam Ward, who went to the Tennessee Titans.
Before the ceremony, Lenee gifted Hunter a Rolex watch and bracelet to celebrate the new chapter of his football career, as seen in a video shared on X. Lenee surprised Hunter with the lavish gift as he was getting ready.
It was a quieter night for critics of Lenee, who was called out in December for staying seated as Hunter won the Heisman. In a video that surfaced on X at the time, Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders was seen telling Lenee to stand up to applaud Hunter.

The backlash only became worse when a second video appeared to show Lenee seemingly acting impatient as Hunter met with fans.
Lenee later defended herself, saying on TikTok, “What y’all don’t know off of a seven-second clip, is those weren’t fans, by the way, he had already finished that part,” Lenee said in the video which lasts just under eight minutes.
Speaking to fans on Twitch, Hunter said that Lenee had been so upset over the criticism that she’d cried herself to sleep after drinking an “odee amount” of alcohol. “I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl’s been with me for five years,” he said. “Y’all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me. Come on, man.”
“Y’all hate on me and then y’all go hate on my girl,” Hunter said. “I feel the same pain that she feel. We’re unseperable [sic], we’re with each other. If she hurting, of course I’m going to be hurting.”
Following the backlash, Hunter deactivated his Instagram account for a period of time.
Lenee and Hunter announced their engagement in February 2024. “A million times, yes 💍,” Lenee captioned the engagement pictures on Instagram.
