Vanessa Hudgens is celebrating the start of something new: baby No. 2!
The Bad Boys: Ride or Die star, 36, revealed on Instagram on July 12 that she is pregnant and expecting her second child with her husband, Cole Tucker — nearly a year after giving birth to their first child.
Hudgens announced the news alongside a trio of photos of herself and Tucker smiling proudly as she showed off her baby bump. In several snaps, the pair could be seen pointing to the actress’ belly and laughing and smiling.
“Round two!!!!” Hudgens captioned the pictures.
The pregnancy announcement came a week after the actress posted a sweet Instagram tribute to her husband for his 29th birthday. Hudgens shared an adorable photo of herself and the baseball player, both wearing funky sunglasses, as they made silly faces for the camera.
“Happy birthday to my best friend/lover/partner in life,” the High School Musical alum wrote in the caption. “@cotuck you’re everything to meeeeeee. No one does it better. 🥳🎂😘.”
“You’re the best mama thank you ❤️,” Tucker replied in the comments section.
The athlete shares his birthday with the couple’s first child, who was born last year on July 3. To mark that milestone, Hudgens posted a birthday tribute to her husband on Instagram alongside several pictures of him.
“Happy birthday to my slice of heaven,” she wrote in the post, which featured photos of the couple, Tucker and their dog. “You make the world a brighter place just by being you.”
TMZ first reported the news of their first baby’s birth. At the time, Hudgens acknowledged that she wasn’t the first to share the news.
“We’re disappointed that our family’s privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media,” she wrote in an Instagram Stories post on July 4.
Hudgens added, “Despite all of that, mom dad and baby are happy and healthy.”
Earlier this year, Hudgens made her first post-baby red carpet appearance at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars Party with Tucker by her side. Hudgens wore a black Dolce & Gabbana gown with feather detailing, while her husband wore an all-black suit.

The Princess Switch star and the baseball player were first linked in November 2020 and announced their engagement in February 2023. The pair tied the knot in a jungle wedding in Tulum, Mexico, in December 2023.
“He’s just kind of perfect for me,” Hudgens told Entertainment Tonight of Tucker in April 2021. “I am [happy]. I really am. I think that it’s also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I’ve been making that a priority, and I feel like it’s just been making magic happen all the more.”
