Vanessa Marcil Praises MGK’s New Song Amid Their Mutual Beef With Ex Brian Austin Green

Vanessa Marcil is a Machine Gun Kelly fan — despite her ex Brian Austin Green’s beef with the singer.

“MGK just dropped the song of my summer,” Marcil, 56, shared via Instagram Stories on Sunday, May 25, referring to the rapper’s latest single “Cliché,” which was released on Friday, May 23.

Marcil’s social media post raised some eyebrows following MGK’s recent public drama with Green. Her comment also came not long after Green referred to their past relationship as “toxic” during an episode of his “Oldish” podcast earlier this month.

Green and Marcil met in the late 1990s and got engaged in 2001. By 2003 they called it quits. During his podcast, Green said that his romance with Marcil “wasn’t a loving, caring relationship.” (The former couple share son Kassius, born in March 2002.)

She retaliated by sharing alleged text messages between herself and Green via social media — and apparently sharing her love for MGK. (Green recently admitted that he has no regrets about referring to their relationship as “toxic.)

Green and MGK’s public feud started in 2024, after the singer broke up with their mutual ex, Megan Fox. (Green and Fox were married from 2020 to 2021. They share kids Noah, Bodh and Journey. MGK and Fox got engaged in 2022, calling it quits in late 2024, shortly before their daughter was born earlier this year. MGK is also a dad to teen daughter Casie from a previous relationship.)

But things heated up again when Green called MGK out in a social media post.

“Bro. Just be honest for once in your life,” Green wrote in February 2025, referring to MGK’s social media post about an article that had been written about his relationship with Fox. “Stop caring so much about how you’re perceived that you will try and drag other people.”

The following month, Green shared a screenshot of an apparent DM with MGK.

“Stop asking when our child is gonna [be] born. You the FEDS,” one message read. “Quit calling TMZ and focus on that apology you owe me for speaking on my name in public.”

There’s no love lost between Megan Fox’s ex-husband, Brian Austin Green, and her on-again, off-again fiancé Machine Gun Kelly. The two men have been going at it publicly since late 2024 when MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, and pregnant Fox broke up again (this time seemingly for good). “Their relationship is so full […]

MGK continued, “You chose the wrong one to f***with mr child actor. Go back to cereal commercials.”

In his caption, Green poked fun at the comment. (Us Weekly reached out to MGK’s team at the time.)

“I didn’t know ‘child actor’ was something bad,” Green quipped. “Leo [DiCaprio], careful. He may be coming for you next.”

MGK seemingly retaliated, using his 27 Club Coffee shop to launch the “Child Actor Margarita” — an apparent shot at Green.

“We put a childish twist on this margarita meant for those days when you just don’t wanna act like an adult. 9021-OMG 😏 #27ClubCoffee,” the announcement read, before calling the drink, “Sour. Soft. Basic.”
