  • The longtime couple began dating in late 1999 and tied the knot in March 2000
  • The singers each have two children from previous relationships, and share one child together

Vince Gill and Amy Grant are celebrating another year of wedded bliss.

The couple shared a joint post to social media on Tuesday, March 10 in celebration of the special day. “Happy 26th Anniversary to Amy and Vince,” the Instagram carousel was captioned.

In the first of several photos, Grant, 65, sat on Gill’s lap, leaning her head against the “I Still Believe In You” singer’s head as they smiled gently at the camera. Others showed the music power couple sharing a kiss onstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

Gill, 68, and Grant met toward the end of 1993, but at the time, they were both married to other people.

After maintaining a friendship throughout the years and also collaborating on music, Gill and the “Lucky One” singer confirmed their engagement in March 2000. They tied the knot about a week later in an outdoor ceremony just outside of Nashville.

While appearing on Katie in 2013, Grant told Katie Couric that she and Gill were "the only excited ones" at their wedding.

"I laugh about our wedding day, because all of our photographs, I refer to my grim-faced children," Grant said. "It just takes time, and it's okay to let it."

Grant and Gill are parents to daughter Corrina Grand Gill, 25. Grant also shares three children with ex-husband Gary Chapman, Matthew Garrison Chapman, 39; Gloria Mills "Millie" Long, 37; and Sarah Cannon Besenius, 34. Gill and his ex-wife, Janis Oliver, are parents to daughter Jennifer "Jenny" Jerene Gill, 44.

In November 2024, Gill and Grant spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about how their love came to be —and how they still make it work all these years later.

“It was not anything that we orchestrated,” Grant told PEOPLE around the time they released their holiday album When I Think of Christmas. “It was like life orchestrated that we kept crossing paths.”

Looking back on all the years spent together, she added, “Life is full of all kinds of mysteries. And I’m not saying any of us did it all wrong or all right, but what we’ve experienced is just so much grace and forgiveness for each other and for our first families and our second families, and it is possible to reconcile. It’s possible to mend fences.”

“It might not be in the context of original relationships, but it’s possible to find your way in life with respect,” she continued.

Meanwhile, Gill told PEOPLE the first thing he noticed about Grant when they met was her smile.

“That’s all I can remember. It was a staggering smile that just stopped me in my tracks. And that had never happened to me before like that,” he said.
