With Coachella 2025 just around the corner, it’s time for a throwback hit.

While this year’s festival promises to be an epic one with headliners Lady Gaga, Green Day and Post Malone scheduled to rock out in the California desert, it’s worth looking back at Coachella 10 years ago, when it was different stars’ time to shine, and fashion was decidedly more crocheted.

Indeed, Coachella 2015 was one for the books, with headliners of AC/DC—which marked the band’s return to the stage for the first time six years—Jack White and Drake.

It was the latter’s performance, however, that caused a stir when Drake surprised the crowd by bringing out Madonna. The table then turned, however, when Madonna delivered an unscripted kiss on the “God’s Plan” singer live onstage.

While there were rumors about Drake’s less-than-enthusiastic response to the kiss, the rapper set the record straight following the festival. As he wrote on Instagram at the time, “Don’t misinterpret my shock!! I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel 100 about that forever. Thank you @madonna.”
