Beauty in Black is returning to Netflix for another dramatic chapter in the Bellarie family saga.
Created by Tyler Perry, the show follows the wealthy Bellaries as they navigate the power dynamics surrounding their multimillion-dollar haircare company, Beauty in Black.
Season 3 sees Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) and Mallory (Crystle Stewart) consolidate their power at the family business, however their success is put at risk when their rivals escape from behind bars and begin plotting their revenge.
Though Netflix had originally said season 3 would be Beauty in Black’s last, the streamer reversed course in July 2026 and renewed the show for a fourth season, about one month before the premiere of season 3.

Will there be a season 4 of Beauty in Black?

Netflix announced that Beauty in Black was renewed for a fourth season on July 23, 2026. At the time, Perry told Tudum that “the Bellarie family’s story is far from finished.”
“There was so much more I wanted to explore, and I’m grateful I get to keep telling this story,” he said. “To the audience that has been on this ride with us from day one, thank you for watching and sharing it with the world. More episodes are on the way!”
Netflix had previously shared that season 3 of Beauty in Black would be its last, ahead of the season 2 premiere in September 2026.
What will Beauty in Black season 4 be about?

Beauty in Black season 4 will pick up where season 3 left off. The latest episodes ended on a bloody cliffhanger with multiple main characters’ lives in jeopardy.
By the end of the season, viewers still don’t know if Kimmie’s husband Horace (Ricco Ross) and his brother Norman (Richard Lawson) are dead after both siblings were shot.
Elsewhere in the finale, Kimmie and Mallory are caught up in a shootout at Make It Rain — the strip club owned by Kimmie’s best friend, Rain (Amber Reign Smith).
Though it’s unclear if they survive, Stewart, who plays Mallory, teased on Instagram that the women of Beauty in Black “definitely aren’t done shaking things up” just yet.
Who is in the cast of Beauty in Black season 4?

While the cast of Beauty in Black season 4 hasn’t been revealed by Netflix, Williams and Stewart were both part of the Instagram video promoting the upcoming installment.
As for who won’t be returning, the only confirmed death in season 3 was that of Sylvie (Bailey Tippen), who was shot and killed by Jules (Charles Malik Whitfield).
