Where Nick Cannon Stands With the Mothers of His Children: Everything They’ve Said

Nick Cannon is a father of 12 — and according to him, he’s “not done” quite yet.

The Masked Singer host first became a father in 2011 when he welcomed twins Monroe and Moroccan with then-wife Mariah Carey. Cannon and Carey’s marriage ended in December 2014, with the actor and comedian going on to father children with five more women. He most recently welcomed daughter Halo Marie with model Alyssa Scott in December 2022.

Keep scrolling for a look back at where Cannon stands with each of the mothers of his 12 children:

Mariah Carey

Cannon shares twins Monroe and Moroccan — born in April 2011 — with his ex-wife Carey. The couple were married at Carey’s private estate in the Bahamas in April 2008 and renewed their vows multiple times through 2010.

Us Weekly confirmed Carey welcomed the couple’s twins in Los Angeles on her and Cannon’s wedding anniversary on April 30, 2011. They separated in 2014, and finalized their divorce two years later.

Carey wrote in her 2020 memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey that her divorce from Cannon was unnecessarily complicated.

Words of wisdom! Nick Cannon has spoken fondly of fatherhood since becoming a parent in 2011. The Masked Singer host and Mariah Carey welcomed their twins in April of that year, naming the little ones Moroccan and Monroe. “The thing with twins is that you want them in their natural incubator as long as possible,” […]

“Honestly, I think Nick and I could have worked it out between the two of us, but egos and emotions got inflamed (which can translate into many billable lawyer hours, and ultimately it did),” she remembered. “It was tough. We both wanted to make sure everything was cool for our family. We will always be family and we make it work.”

In 2023, Cannon explained that Carey frequently checked in on him as he expanded his family with other women, so long as he didn’t bring any drama to her doorstep.

“She’s like, ‘As long as you don’t bring none of that bulls*** to the Manor of Carey,’” Cannon told REVOLT’s “The Jason Lee Show” podcast. “Like, she lives in her own world, nothing can infiltrate that stuff. When we talk daily, she’s just checking on my spirit.”

Cannon looked back on his divorce in October 2024, revealing that he struggled with the pressure of being with one of the world’s most famous women.

“I actually really care what the world thought,” Cannon said on the “Ray Daniels Presents” podcast. “But going to myself, that pressure of, ‘Who am I?’ I got married in my 20s to the biggest star in the world.”

The phrase “it takes a village” is something Nick Cannon knows all too well as the father of 12 kids. “I thank God for their mothers,” Cannon, 43, exclusively told Us Weekly while in Los Angeles at Fox’s Fall Press Day of managing his work and family life. “They kind of plan accordingly, and they […]

Cannon went on, “My trajectory was [down] here and she’s already in a different stratosphere. I would lay up at night thinking, ‘Is this who I am? Am I Mariah’s man? Is that what my life is supposed to be?’”

In August 2024, the comedian admitted that he would love to reconcile with Carey, even referencing her 2005 hit song by saying, “We belong together.” Unfortunately, Cannon confessed that his ex-wife didn’t feel the same.

“She don’t want me,” he declared.

Carey started dating musician Anderson .Paak in 2025.

Brittany Bell

The former Miss Universe contender shares three children — Golden Sagon, born February 2017, Powerful Queen (a.k.a. Pow), born December 2020, and Rise Messiah, born September 2022 — with the Wild ‘n Out comedian.

Bell first met Cannon in 2015 and they dated on and off throughout the arrivals of their three children. When Bell gave birth to Rise, Cannon referred to her as “the rock and foundation of [his] fatherhood journey” via Instagram.

“She has taught me so much about parenting, psychology, spirituality, love and just life in general,” Cannon wrote. “For our third child she told me she didn’t want a baby shower and needed NOTHING! All she desired was PRAYER from her authentic Loved Ones!”

Cannon shared Thanksgiving photos with their three kids via Instagram in November 2024, including a posed shot of himself and Bell dressed in matching denim overalls.

He wrote alongside the carousel, “Happy Thanksgiving!!! Hallelujah!!”

During a 2025 appearance on the “AmenClinics” podcast, Bell said that she was proud of Cannon for setting a good example for their children by focusing on physical and emotional wellness.

“He’s joined forces [with me] because he’s taking care of himself,” she said. “It’s helpful … [His therapy] also has helped me with understanding Nick’s processing. It has transformed my empathy for him.”

Abby De La Rosa

Influencer De La Rosa and Cannon are parents to twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, born June 2021, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, born November 2022.

Cannon and De La Rosa shared on World Autism Awareness Day in 2024 that their son Zillion was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). According to the Mayo Clinic, ASD is a condition linked to brain development that impacts how a “person perceives and socializes with others.”

The former couple continue to coparent their three children. In April 2023, De La Rosa revealed that she actually enjoyed seeing Cannon spend time with the other mothers of his children.

“I got love for all the women,” the model said on Amp’s “The Daily Cannon” podcast. “For me, I think at times because I am so calm and chill, what it’ll do for me is just kind of turn me on a little bit. I get a little jealous, but then at the same time it’s just kind of, like, ‘This is my baby daddy.’”

Bre Tiesi

Tiesi welcomed her and Cannon’s son, Legendary Love, in June 2022 via a home birth. She told the “Wednesday” podcast in December 2024 that her time with Cannon was “the healthiest relationship” she’s ever had.

“He’s the best dad and he’s so present,” Tiesi insisted. “I’ve never asked this man to do something and he doesn’t do it … He’s very involved and, I think, people just [think otherwise].”

During a March 2025 interview on the “We Need to Talk” podcast, the Selling Sunset star admitted she occasionally gets jealous of the other women in Cannon’s life.

“I think I’ve gotten jealous about holidays. Holidays are hard,” Tiesi acknowledged. “I’d be like, ‘OK, well, if you’re gonna do this, can you take Ledgie?’ And it’s not for me. I’m not jealous. Say they go on a trip and I’m like, ‘Well, that would’ve been nice, could you have just brought Ledgie with you guys?’”

Tiesi clarified that her primary concern was to keep “the door open” for all of the women and children in Cannon’s life to feel equally included.

“[I hope] that everyone involved is happy, so our kids can have a relationship because you don’t have to like me,” she added. “We don’t have to have a relationship, I don’t need to at all, but I want you to know that I genuinely love and accept your kids and they’re welcome in my home.”

LaNisha Cole

Cannon and former Price is Right model Cole welcomed daughter Onyx Ice in September 2022. Following Onyx’s birth, Cole seemingly threw shade at Cannon for staging “fake IG photo op love” with his other children — though she didn’t directly name him.

“There’s no need to mention me or send anything to my dms. It has nothing to do with me… and no need to be messy. It’s all love over this way,” she wrote via Instagram. “It’s not easy but I have to do it for my daughter. [Onyx] is incredibly blessed and is surrounded by so much love – and it’s not fake IG photo op love – it’s real day in and day out love.”

Cole later clapped back at snarky social media comments about Cannon’s growing brood in December 2022.

“For the people who still feel the need to be nasty towards me and send me disrespectful messages, I get that it’s easy to sit on your phone and look at a tiny glimpse of a person’s life and feel like you’re better than them,” she wrote via Instagram in December 2022. “Yes, I’ve made mistakes. … But I’m choosing to do better.”

The model and film producer went on, “Calling me baby mama #538 every time I say, ‘the sky is blue,’ is uncalled for and it’s getting old. I get it. My life plays out publicly but there’s a lot you don’t see. There’s always so much more I want to say but this isn’t the time. I wouldn’t change a single thing about my journey because I’m in a beautiful place now and everything has to happen the way it did for me to get here.”

Cannon drew criticism during an April 2023 appearance on The Howard Stern Show for forgetting to mention Onyx when asked to name all of his 12 children. Cole seemingly responded by referring to Onyx as her “whole world” in a social media post.

“I will do everything I can every single day to make sure she knows how special she is and how much I love and adore her. Onyx Ice Cole,” she wrote via Instagram.

Cole followed up by writing, “No person’s path is linear. There’s going to be blind curves, peaks, valleys, and sometimes we make wrong turns or run into dead ends. Simply correct course and get back on your forward moving path. I pray every day for strength, guidance, and peace. Regardless of where I’m at on my path, I know that God’s got me. And I’ve got Onyx.”

Later in 2023, Cole fired back at an Instagram user accusing her of trying to “turn [Onyx] against her real dad” because she featured her boyfriend, Brian Kuba, in family photos, rather than Cannon.

“Y’all take any opportunity to s*** on Black women,” she replied. “She has her relationship with her father, which he himself speaks on. He absolutely loves ALL of his children, which is evident.”

Cole then wrote, “I go out of my way to make sure that he has his time with her, and I would never speak negatively about him or make Onyx feel anything other than love for her dad. It’s nothing but love on the days he comes to pick her up. Please stay off my page and leave Black women alone.”

Alyssa Scott

Cannon and Scott tragically lost their 5-month old son, Zen, in December 2021 after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

The pair joined forces in June 2022 for the creation of Zen’s Light Foundation, which aims to support families dealing with pediatric cancer.

One year after Zen’s death, Cannon and Scott celebrated the birth of their daughter, Halo Marie, in December 2022. Scott has since expressed displeasure with some of the public discourse around Cannon’s fatherhood.

In April 2025, Scott took issue with Cannon claiming that he’d insured his testicles for $10 million and for referring to his private parts as his “most valuable assets.”

“Ha ha haaa Funny. Any plans on seeing your child? It’s been over a month,” Scott replied alongside the clip and tagged Cannon. “But good to know she’ll get some of your [money] if anything happens to your balls smh.”’

Us Weekly reached out to Cannon for comment.
