The season 3 trailer for The Summer I Turned Pretty just proved that the episodes will in fact take inspiration from Jenny Han‘s book — but which scenes have been confirmed so far?
The Summer I Turned Pretty, which premiered in 2022, is based on Han’s book series of the same name which follows Belly (Lola Tung) as she gets caught up in a love triangle with brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). After exploring her feelings for Conrad, Belly starts to question whether Jeremiah is her perfect match.
In the original book trilogy, Belly made her final choice in We’ll Always Have Summer, which will presumably inspire the third season of the show. Fans, however, have questioned whether the story will follow the events of the book series or whether there will be changes.
While Han — and the cast — teased that season 3 isn’t just pulling scenes from We’ll Always Have Summer, the first look released in June showed otherwise. Keep scrolling to see which book scenes made it into the trailer:
