FBI Director Kash Patel has been with his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, for over two and a half years.
Patel and Wilkins, who met at an event in Nashville, have been dating since at least 2023. As she shared on her Instagram, Wilkins, who is 18 years his junior, stood by his side as he was sworn in as FBI director in February 2025.
The couple recently made headlines after Patel allegedly used an agency jet to visit Wilkins, who was performing the national anthem at a wrestling event in Pennsylvania. The FBI director went on to defend his girlfriend in a lengthy post on X, in which he criticized alleged “baseless rumors” and “fake news” circulating about their relationship.

She grew up in Arkansas
During a July 2025 appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, Wilkins shared that although she spent some of her childhood in England and Switzerland, she grew up primarily in Arkansas.
“It was my favorite place I lived,” she said. “People ask me, ‘Oh, did you love Europe?’ … Of course I did. But my favorite to live was by far Arkansas.”
In a video for media organization PragerU, Wilkins shared that she was raised as an only child in a Christian household.
She graduated from Belmont University
Wilkins graduated from Belmont University in Nashville in 2020, where she received a bachelor’s degree in business administration, per her LinkedIn.
While at the university, Wilkins was involved in the ethics debate team and received accolades, including the Williams-Murray Writing Award and Economics Critical Thinking Award.
She is a country singer and political commentator
Wilkins is a country singer who, according to her LinkedIn, has been a recording artist, performer and writer since August 2007. She released her debut EP, Grit, in April 2023.
Outside of music, she is also a political commentator, according to her Instagram bio.
She has been a consultant of The American Border Story since May 2025 and a board member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) since June 2025, per her LinkedIn. According to her bio for PragerU, she is also an ambassador for Turning Point USA and a contributor to The Unity Project.
They met at an event in Nashville
As Wilkins shared with host Megyn Kelly, she met Patel at an event at a friend’s house in Nashville.
She also shared her first impression of Patel, explaining that she liked that he was “so honest.”
“We both are very patriotic, so obviously there are things there that we definitely agree on,” she said.
Patel and Wilkins have been together since at least 2023
Patel and Wilkins have been dating since at least 2023, as she shared during her July 2025 appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show that they had gotten together a little over two and a half years earlier.
She said it was “long before” Patel was head of the FBI, joking that “all of this was not on my bingo card, but here we are.”
