Who Is Influencer Sidney Raz? 5 Things to Know About the TikTok Star Diagnosed With Stomach Cancer

Influencer Sidney Raz opened up about his own health journey after his unborn daughter died in utero.

Raz (real name Sidney Raskind) uploaded an Instagram video in April 2025 revealing that he and his wife, Kelsey, underwent genetic testing after losing their baby to a rare birth defect called holoprosencephaly in September 2024.

“It was found that [my daughter] had a deletion,” he said in the video. “So we did genetic testing on me and Kelsey didn’t have that deletion, but I did have that deletion. And because of that deletion, in recent years, it has been seen to cause certain types of cancer, specifically stomach cancer.”

He added: “I scheduled an endoscopy and … today I found out that I have stomach cancer.”

2. He’s an Original Influencer

Raz found fame on TikTok in September 2019, but he had been focusing on a social media career for years, posting on Vine, YouTube and Instagram before going viral. He has since racked up over 4.5 million followers on TikTok.

3. He’s an Author

Because of the success of his “life hack” comedy sketches on TikTok, Raz was able to write a self-help book of his own. Life Hacks, Tips and Tricks, which was published in August 2024, features over 200 shortcuts and tricks to help readers.

“When Sid hit 30, he realized there was so much advice no one had ever bothered to tell him,” the book’s summary reads. “So Sid went on a mission to make his life as easy as humanly possible.”
