Natalie Portman is stepping out with a new man: French musician Tanguy Destable.
The Lady in the Lake actress and the musician — who’s also known by his stage name Tepr — were first linked in early March 2025 by French outlet Voici. They were also seen on a stroll together in Paris, per photos published by the Daily Mail.
Their relationship marks Portman’s first romance since her split with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied. The actress and the choreographer started dating after they met on the set of Black Swan in 2009 and announced they were engaged the following year. The former couple tied the knot in 2012 and welcomed two children together: Aleph and Amalia. They finalized their divorce in February 2024 after media reports of an extramarital affair by Millepied in 2023.

He’s from France
Destable is from Morlaix, a commune located in the northwestern region of France, per Le Télégramme. In a 2016 interview with The French Shuffle, he said growing up in a small town made it hard to find friends who wanted to make music.
“I grew up in a small-town of Brittany in the 90s and it was hard to find band members … so I decided to buy a sampler and synth to replace the drummer and bass player,” Destable said. “I couldn’t find and do it all by myself.”
He’s a musician and producer
Destable is an electronic music producer who goes by the moniker Tepr. Before releasing his first album in 2015, he worked with well-known French bands like Yelle and singer Woodkid and performed at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, per Le Télégramme. He’s since released three more albums: Technosensible, Dance Works 2015-2018 and La nuit se traine (Bande originale du film).
In 2023, the music producer collaborated with Lady Gaga for a film with Dom Pérignon. Destable has also helped create the score for movies like I’m Still Here (Je suis toujours là) and collaborated with Woodkid in mixing the theme song for Peacock’s hit action series Those About to Die.
He and Portman have been linked since March 2025
On March 7, 2025, French outlet Voici reported that Portman and Destable had started dating. That same day, Daily Mail published photos of the couple together, and PEOPLE confirmed their romance.
The images show the music producer walking with his arm over the actress’s shoulder and kissing the top of her head while out and about in Paris.
He was previously married to French actress Louise Bourgoin
Prior to his relationship with Portman, Destable was married to French actress Louise Bourgoin. She’s best known for films like The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec and shows like Interns.
The couple were together for over 10 years before they split up and share two boys together, per Télé-Loisirs.
They’re both parents
Both Portman and Destable share children from previous relationships. Her children Aleph and Amalia were born in 2011 and 2017, respectively, and he has two children from his marriage to Bourgoin.
Destable told Billboard in 2017 that he dedicated the track “Hello E” from his EP Inquisifunk to his firstborn son. “He was born a year ago, and I wanted to welcome him,” the musician said. “[The EP is] like a roller coaster, you have a lot of flavor, a lot of emotions, a lot of different feelings while listening to it.”
