Kylie Jenner was noticeably missing from Timothée Chalamet’s side at the 2025 SAG Awards.
On Sunday, Feb. 23, Chalamet, 29, attended the awards show with his mother, as he was nominated for his role in the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. The actor ended up taking home the prize for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role, but Jenner was not on hand to celebrate the accomplishment.
PEOPLE has since learned that Jenner, 27, was never expected to attend the show and was not listed on the RSVP list.
Jenner’s absence comes hours after it was announced that Jesus Guerrero, a longtime hairstylist of hers, had died suddenly at age 34.
Guerrero joined Jenner in Paris for Couture Fashion Week, posting photos of her in January. He also shared images after styling her for the 2025 Golden Globes. The Los Angeles-based hairstylist worked with Jenner for many years for appearances and photoshoots, including her Harper’s Bazaar March 2020 cover and, most recently, her ELLE cover in October 2024.
Though Jenner could not be by Chalamet’s side at the SAG Awards, she has shown her suppport for him at various other awards season celebrations, including the Golden Globes in January, the BAFTAs and the Berlin Film Festival.
In January, a source told PEOPLE that Jenner was “having fun supporting” Chalamet during awards season.
“She enjoys attending the events with him. She knows that his career is so important to him. She wants to be by his side for it all,” the insider said, adding that the reality star was “really making an effort” to be by her boyfriend’s side.
“Kylie is the happiest,” the source continued. “They are very serious. Everyone in her family loves him.”
The stars first sparked dating rumors in April 2023. A source at the time told PEOPLE they were “hanging out and getting to know each other,” but over the next two months, sources noted that they were seeing each other more frequently.
In September 2023, the duo took their relationship public when they enjoyed some PDA while attending a Beyoncé concert at SoFi stadium in L.A. Jenner and Chalamet kept the good vibes going, attending a New York Fashion Week dinner together several days later, and closing out the whirlwind week with a touchy outing to a US Open Match.

As of late, the Hollywood lovebirds have made waves with several more public outings. In October, the pair was spotted on a “very cuddly” dinner date in New York City. Jenner also attended the afterparty of the Los Angeles A Complete Unknown premiere in December, mingling with her beau’s co-stars and leaving the function with him hand-in-hand.
She’s similarly attended afterparties for Chalamet’s projects including Wonka. A source told PEOPLE in November 2023 that the makeup mogul attended the London premiere and afterparty, despite not walking the carpet. The following month, she and her mom showed their support again at the L.A. premiere and afterparty.
