Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were seen together in a rare joint sighting for the estranged couple.
On Saturday, Sept. 6, the Bad Boys star, 56, was spotted going for a meal at Nobu in Malibu, Calif., with Jada, 53. Their rare outing came 10 months after they were last seen together in public.
Will wore a casual white t-shirt with khaki pants that coordinated with his white cap as they grabbed a bite to eat. The Girls Trip actress looked stylish in a hooded strapless dress, which she paired with gold open-toe sandals and sunglasses.
They both appeared in good spirits as they were photographed smiling and talking while walking to either side of a white Lamborghini.
Will and Jada were last seen together in November 2024 while leaving Crossroads Kitchen in Calabasas, Calif. The outing followed their attendance at the Los Angeles premiere of Bad Boys: Ride or Die in May that year.
The couple’s children also attended in support of Will’s movie.
Will and Jada married in December 1997, having met on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. A year later, in July 1998, they welcomed their son Jaden Smith. He was their first child together, while Will already shared a son, Trey, with his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino. Will and Jada expanded their family with the addition of their daughter, Willow Smith, in October 2000.
Despite being rarely spotted together in recent years, Will described his wife of nearly three decades as his “ride-or-die” in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I have always been blessed that there has never been a time in my life when I didn’t look to the side and have a ride or die right there,” the actor said, back in May 2024. “Jada is one of the most gangsta ride-or-die’s I’ve ever had.”

His comments came several months after Jada revealed on Today that she and Will had been living separate lives since 2016. The Set It Off actress also said she “made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce,” adding, “We will work through … whatever.”
Ahead of the release of her memoir Worthy in 2023, Jada exclusively revealed to PEOPLE that she and Will had been doing “some really heavy-duty work together” while figuring out their relationship.
“We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us,” she said. “I’m going to be by his side … but also allow him to have to figure this out for himself.”
Will has been promoting new music in recent months. Last week, Westbrook, the entertainment company he shares with Jada, also signed a first-look deal with Paramount.
According to Variety, the deal will focus on creating “global, four-quadrant theatrical movies” with the potential to launch franchises. Two projects are already in development.
