Prince George is following in his father’s footsteps in more ways than one.

The future king is second in line to the British throne behind his father, Prince William, who welcomed George with his wife, Kate Middleton, in July 2013.

In the years since, George has copied his dad’s style on several occasions, leading to some memorable lookalike moments.

For George’s Wimbledon debut in 2022, the young royal wore a suit jacket that was nearly identical to the one William wore for his first appearance at the tennis tournament over 30 years beforehand.

Shortly after George celebrated his 13th birthday in 2026, meanwhile, the father-son duo stepped out together at the Commonwealth Games and were photographed putting their similarities on display.

While George spent his early childhood away from the public eye, he has slowly started to increase his public profile in recent years under the careful guidance of his parents.

“It’s a slow game, and it gets him used to [being a public figure] on the couple’s terms rather than anybody else’s,” a palace insider told PEOPLE in August 2025.

In August 2026, William and George attended the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

The pair were spotted making similar facial expressions in coordinated button-up shirts as they watched the netball semi-final match between Australia and Jamaica.

The look resembled the one that William wore for the Queen Mother’s 95th birthday celebration at Clarence House in August 1995.
