Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got married in a Fourth of July weekend extravaganza at Madison Square Garden.

Among the most notable absentees were Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, whose relationship with Swift became strained following Lively’s legal battle with her It Ends With Us costar, Justin Baldoni. A source told PEOPLE in May 2025 that Lively and Swift were “taking some space” from one another. The reports of the shift in the friendship came after Swift was served a subpoena from Baldoni’s lawyers.
The couple were pictured in Lake Placid, N.Y., where their daughter Betty, 6, competed in a horse show, as the wedding festivities were taking place in the City.

Though Prince William hinted that he may have gotten an invite to the wedding, the royal and his wife, Kate Middleton, ultimately didn’t attend the wedding. However, according to a source, the Prince and Princess of Wales did meet with the newlyweds ahead of their big day. The meeting likely happened in May around the time that Swift and Kelce were in England.

Though it’s unclear why Miles Teller and wife Keleigh Sperry — who were not only one of the couples’ closest friends, but also starred in Swift’s video for “I Bet You Think About Me” (which was directed by Lively) — were not at the wedding, TMZ previously reported there was a rift between the parties “due to differences in their lifestyles.”

Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift have been friendly ever since the American Idol alum advised the “Bad Blood” singer to re-record her albums after Scooter Braun acquired her masters. In the years since, Swift has made it a point to send Clarkson sweet gifts to show appreciation for the sage advice, every time she re-releases an album. It’s unclear if Clarkson got an invitation.

It’s no secret that James Taylor holds a special place in Swift’s heart. He’s shared the stage with her several times and the 14-time Grammy winner once revealed she was named after him. However, a scheduling conflict was the reason he was MIA at MSG over the weekend. Taylor and his band had shows at the Koussevitzky Music Shed at Tanglewood in Lenox, Mass.

Amy Schumer
Fans were naturally curious when photos of celebrities dressed to the nines while making their way out of the rehearsal dinner started popping up, so Amy Schumer seized the moment and jokingly posted her own ‘fit. “Rehearsal dinner was sick. Who know what she has planned for us tonight,” she wrote on Instagram.
She followed up with this screenshot of herself and Michael Cera looking wedding-ready on July 4.

The famed media mogul is a consistent attendee at high-profile weddings, from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018 (above) to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s special day last summer. So, it’s only right that she was expected to be at one of the biggest weddings of the year.
Oprah has also expressed great admiration for the singer, telling the Herald Sun, “I’ve never seen any woman handle herself the way she does. She makes my eyes water, the way she handles herself.”
Oprah continued, “She manages the whole fame trip, what it means to be in the spotlight, so when you think about all the things going wrong [with] the world, she is the true great role model.”

When rumors that the Knicks starting lineup — which includes Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart and OG Anunoby — had been invited, fans were quick to believe it. After all, Swift has shown up to several games in support of the team over the years and she was getting married on their home court. It turned out that was all wishful thinking, however, as Hart revealed on X that reports of the invite were “fake news.”

Though Kim Kardashian was once a professed fan and the two were even pictured being friendly at different awards shows in the early 2010s, a very public 2016 feud over Kanye West lyrics (which subsequently launched Swift’s Reputation era) caused a rift between them, so it’s no wonder Kim and her family weren’t invited to the wedding.
