Two toddlers were alone at home with the bodies of their deceased mother and her ex-boyfriend for two days before the bodies were found, police say.
The toddlers’ late mother, Lamara Baldwin, and her ex-boyfriend Lamont Dunlap were found deceased in their home in Wilkinsburg, Pa., on Monday, Aug. 3, local outlets WTAE, KDKA and WPXI reported, citing local authorities. The Allegheny Police Department said based on the scene, the couple appears to have died on July 31, WTAE reported.
The toddlers are 1 and 3, and are now in the custody of Child and Youth Services, police said, according to WTAE. Baldwin, 31, and Dunlap, 42, were dead in the residence on Franklin Avenue for two days prior to authorities finding their bodies. There were no indications of trauma; however, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy to determine their cause of death.
“I just don’t know what could have possibly happened or what someone could have done or what the parents could have done,” neighbor John Sloan told KDKA. “This is a mystery.”

In the days before she was found dead, Baldwin had spoken out about struggling with her mental health on a Facebook livestream, according to WPXI.
“I’m just tired of being lied to. Never told the truth,” Baldwin said, per the news station. “I don’t know how much more I can take.”
