A 22-year-old man has been found dead more than a week after he disappeared in Oregon.
Tyler Ryan Davis was found dead near Lookout Reservoir east of Lowell at about 1 p.m. local time on Sunday, May 10, according to a news release from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).
The sheriff’s office previously said that the Eugene resident last made contact with friends and family on April 30. His vehicle was later found parked near Lookout Reservoir.
Volunteers from the Eugene Mountain Rescue team found Davis’ body more than a week later after the group "traversed extremely steep terrain to search areas difficult to access."
Davis was a student at the University of Oregon, according to The Daily Emerald.
The young man studied business administration during the 2024-25 academic year, the outlet reported, citing university directory records.
Officials with the University of Oregon did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
There is currently “no evidence of a crime” in connection with Davis’ death, according to the LCSO.
The sheriff's office said search teams spent hundreds of hours looking for Davis utilizing “canines, drones, boats, divers and ground crews” during the search.

An investigation is ongoing.
