On April 1, Amazon Prime Video added a lot of new movies to its programming slate.
Thanks to Prime Video’s access to MGM’s movie library and films from other studios, Amazon offers film lovers a lot of options to choose from.
To help you find the films that are right for you, Watch with Us has selected three underrated Amazon Prime Video movies to watch this weekend.
The picks for the week include a horror film that quietly celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, a breathtaking racing drama with Christian Bale and Matt Damon and a very charming rom-com that has a touch of tragedy as well.

‘Stigmata’ (1999)
In Catholicism, stigmata is the phenomenon that occurs when devout believers experience the wounds that Jesus Christ suffered during the crucifixion. But in the film Stigmata, Frankie Paige (Patricia Arquette) is an atheist who doesn’t believe in God. Somehow, Frankie has not only been stricken with stigmata, but she also shows signs of possession as well.
Father Andrew Kiernan (Gabriel Byrne) is sent by the Vatican to investigate Frankie’s condition. What he discovers is something that threatens the very foundation of the church itself. Frankie’s life and her immortal soul hang in the balance as Father Andrew attempts to find a way to save her from both the evil spirits within and rogue agents of the church.

‘Ford v Ferrari’ (2019)
Director James Mangold (A Complete Unknown) took the bitter rivalry between Henry Ford II (Tracy Letts) and Enzo Ferrari (Remo Girone) and then made it the backdrop of his 2019 movie, Ford v Ferrari. Ford definitely wants to get payback for Ferrari’s slights, but he delegates the task to former race car driver turned automotive designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon).

To build a Ford capable of competing against Ferrari’s top racing models, Shelby turns to Ken Miles (Christian Bale), a race car driver whose talents on the track are almost equal to his ability to alienate everyone he meets. Miles’ arrogance makes him a hard guy to like, but he and Shelby form a bond as they undertake a project that will upend the international racing scene.

‘Return to Me’ (2000)
The X-Files’ David Duchovny stretches his acting muscles with the rom-com/drama Return to Me. Bob Rueland (Duchovny) is heartbroken over the death of his wife, Elizabeth (Joely Richardson). However, Elizabeth’s death saved the life of a waitress, Grace Briggs (Minnie Driver), who received Elizabeth’s heart in a transplant operation.
Over a year later, Bob and Grace meet by chance and feel a romantic spark between them. Neither of them is initially aware of the unexpected connection they share. But once Grace realizes that she has Elizabeth’s heart, it clouds any potential future that she and Bob might have together.
