When the seasons change and it’s time to revamp my wardrobe, I always go to some of my favorite colleagues for fashion recommendations — and they never disappoint.

Recently, I asked my fellow editors and writers what they’re looking forward to adding to their warm-weather lineups from Nordstrom, and they’re too good not to share. Keep reading to shop everything in our virtual carts, including kitten heel sandals, blouses, boat shoes, linen pants, and ribbed tank dresses starting at $45 from brands like Madewell and Rothy’s.

Editor-Approved Spring Fashion at Nordstrom

Caslon Drawstring Wide-Leg Linen-Blend Pants

For spring days when it’s not cold enough for jeans or warm enough for shorts, I’ll be wearing these wide-leg linen pants. They feature an elastic drawstring waist for a comfortable fit and are machine-washable. I’m grabbing them in the navy and white striped pattern for an effortless option to style with basic tees and tank tops. — Ali Faccenda, Associate Editor

Caslon Swing Trench Coat

I’ve always loved the look and practicality of trench coats, but as someone 5 feet tall, the length can overwhelm my petite frame. I’m loving the cropped trench coat styles that I’m seeing everywhere, which serve a similar purpose without the added fabric. I’m a fan of this jacket’s tan and olive color options and boxy fit that can easily layer over my spring looks. Plus, the stretch cotton fabric keeps it comfortable. — Lauren Fischer, Associate Editorial Director

Madewell Gingham Low-Back Cap-Sleeve Top

Gingham is one of my favorite spring patterns, and this cap-sleeve top does not disappoint. It’s made with a soft cotton-blend jersey fabric that’ll be the ideal wardrobe staple for piecing together coastal-inspired outfits. I’m a huge fan of boat necklines since they’re very flattering, and I know its neutral color scheme will match just about any pair of shorts, pants, or skirt in my closet. — Ali Faccenda, Associate Editor

Open Edit Tori Kitten Heel Sandal

These kitten heel sandals are at the top of my spring wish list. I love that they’re casual enough to slip on for a coffee date without looking overdone while still looking put together enough for date night with an LBD. Thong sandals are an annual essential in my closet, and since I’m petite, I like the added boost in height. I’m grabbing two pairs in black and white to keep in my rotation through the summer. — Olivia Cigliano, Writer

Rothy’s The Boat Shoe

I was in high school when boat shoes were trendy, and this pair of Rothy’s gives me serious nostalgia but with a fun twist. I’ve got my eye on the Sunbaked Pink option to add a pop of color to my spring outfits, and I love that the shade is unique for the shoe style, giving the classic footwear a modern upgrade. I already own several Rothy’s and know just how comfortable they are, and these are likely no exception. — Shea Simmons, Writer

Treasure & Bond Embroidered Cutwork Puff-Sleeve Linen-Blend Top

My spring uniform relies on classic white T-shirts for both layering and solo wear, but I aim to add a few equally versatile but slightly more decorative blouses into the mix. This linen-blend version from Treasure & Bond has embroidered floral cutwork, puff sleeves, and a scalloped hem, making it a piece I can wear with jean shorts for a casual look or trousers for dressier occasions. Since it will go with so many outfits, I’m buying it in both black and white. — Rachel Trujillo, Writer

Nordstrom Stretch Cotton Ribbed Tank Dress

I’m set on fancy dresses for all the weddings and baby showers on my calendar, but I need to grab a few more casual styles to wear to farmers’ markets, everyday errands, and more this spring and summer. This comfy midi is just what my closet is missing, featuring ribbed cotton material with a relaxed fit that’s not too tight or loose. Petite shoppers give it their stamp of approval in the reviews, so I might even buy two colors while they’re all available. — Bridget Degnan, Senior Editor

Sam Edelman Waylon Slide Sandal

When it comes to dressing for summer, I love a more sophisticated take on classic sandals. This Sam Edelman style feels elegant and chic, but with a short block heel that’s still easy to walk in. The suede is luxe and looks expensive, and the color options are ideal for the season. I’m adding them to my cart in green and pink. — Megan Schaltegger, Writer
