A.J. Brown had the perfect photo to post after being traded to the New England Patriots.

After Brown, 28, was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Patriots (as first reported by Ian Rapoport on Monday, June 1), the NFL star took to social media with an apt throwback photo.

Brown shared two pictures of himself as a young child wearing Tom Brady's iconic no. 12 Patriots jersey in a post on Instagram. Brown left the post's caption blank and allowed the images to speak for themselves.

The post caught's Brady's attention and the former Patriots quarterback commented a handful of heart emojis. Eagles fans reacted to the post in the comments, with some thanking Brown for his time with the Eagles and others expressing emotional turmoil over their favorite wide receiver's departure from Philadelphia.

"You couldn’t wait to post these smfh, congratulations dawg. I’m pissed," one user said, while Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean commented a single heart.

Aside from his throwback photos in Brady's jersey, Brown took the opportunity to poke fun at the trade with an "official statement" in a sponsored post from a moving company, Angi, whom he said would help him move from Philadelphia to his new digs in New England.

Before Brown's departure from the Eagles, rumors of a rift between him and quarterback Jalen Hurts began to swirl after Hurts was noticeably absent from Brown's wedding on May 18.

On May 28, Hurts told the media that "nothing's changed" regarding their friendship and said they're "really good."

"I saw how beautiful the pictures came out at his wedding," Hurts said, adding that he's "very happy for him, and his wife and his family," and "very excited and congratulatory towards that.”
