Aaron Pierre is officially back on the market!

During an appearance on TODAY on Aug. 7, the Lanterns star opened up about his romantic availability. Pierre, 32, was most recently linked to One Battle After Another star Teyana Taylor, though after their reported December 2025 split, fans have been especially interested in the actor’s relationship status.

When Jenna Bush-Hager told him he’s dubbed “the internet’s boyfriend” and a “heartthrob,” Pierre gave a hearty chuckle.

“We’re all only human. I would be lying to you if I said it wasn’t warmly received,” Pierre said with a grin. “I’m very appreciative of it. It definitely makes me smile.”

“I guess the ladies around here want to know if you’re single,” Bush-Hager prompted, drawing cheers from the crowd. Pierre replied, “I am!” but then added, “I’m just very locked into being the best father I can be, and being the best artist I can be.”

Taylor and Pierre confirmed their relationship in June 2025 (after months of back-and-forth flirting online), the same month Pierre starred in Taylor’s steamy music video for her single, “Long Time.” Roughly six months later, Page Six reported the couple had split, though the reasoning was unclear.

Pierre’s appearance on TODAY comes just over a week before the debut of Lanterns on HBO. The actor stars as John Stewart, a new recruit, alongside Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) as a pair of intergalactic cops who are “drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.”

The first episode of Lanterns debuts on HBO on Aug. 16, and new episodes will release weekly on Sundays through Oct. 4. He will also appear in the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter, out May 28, 2027.
