Adam Sandler enjoyed a special evening out with his favorite girls.
On Monday, Sept. 29, the Happy Gilmore 2 star, 59, attended the premiere of his new movie, Jay Kelly, during the 63rd New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall alongside his wife Jackie Sandler and daughters, Sunny, 16, and Sadie, 19. Adam stars as Ron Sukenick, the manager of George Clooney’s character.
The family of four looked chic as they walked the carpet together: Adam, Jackie and their daughter Sunny wore all-black outfits, while Sadie opted for a gray floor-length dress. The tight-knit group was all smiles as they posed for pictures together.
Sunny and Sadie have appeared in several of their father’s films over the years, including his 2020 Netflix movie, Hubie Halloween. However, it wasn’t until 2023 that they landed starring roles.
More recently, Sunny and Sadie joined their dad in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2 — and made quite the impression on the film’s director, Kyle Newacheck, who said they were “very good at acting.”
“It just makes me excited to see what they’re going to come up with in the next 10 years, if they’re going to follow their father’s footsteps and be committed to this family business,” he said. “They’re all very talented and it’s awesome watching them work.”
In July, the actor walked the red carpet at the New York City premiere of Happy Gilmore 2 in his usual laid-back “Sandlercore” attire, alongside his wife and two daughters. While speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the premiere, which was held at the Jazz at Lincoln Center, Adam chatted about working alongside his family.
“Love them. Your heart feels good. You’re pulling for ’em while you’re working with them,” Adam told PEOPLE.
“My wife and I have a nice, when we make eye contact, we lock in, so we use that when we’re acting,” he continued. “Sometimes it looks a little weird that we’re falling in love and it doesn’t make sense to our characters.”
Adam, who married Jackie in 2003, added, “But we do have a nice attraction for each other and my kids couldn’t be prouder of whatever they’re working [on] and going after whatever they want. I’m just always pulling for them, like every parent.”

The comedian caught up with E! News and shared more comments about working with his daughters. The 50 First Dates alum explained why he mostly feels “relieved” when working with girls.
“Oh my god, you’re just relieved. Once they do it well, nothing feels better as a parent,” he said.
“It must be like when you’re the parents of a baseball player and you’re at the game and they get a hit,” he added. “You just go, ‘Thank god.’ It’s just so much relief.”
