Alan Jackson and his wife Denise are grandparents again!
The couple’s eldest daughter, Mattie, welcomed her second baby, daughter Charlotte Anne “Charlie” Smith, on Feb. 13. Alan, 67, and Denise posed for a picture with their first granddaughter, published on his Instagram page on Monday, March 23.
“Denise and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our first granddaughter Charlotte Ann (Charlie) Smith. Charlie joined our family on Feb 13,” Alan captioned the hospital photo. “Proud parents are Mattie and Connor Smith.”
Mattie, 35, and her husband, Connor, announced Charlotte’s birth on Feb. 17 with a gallery of photos with the newborn on Instagram. The two are also parents to son Wesley Alan Smith, who was born on June 20, 2024.

"Our little valentine decided to make her entrance a few days early, and we couldn’t be more in love with her! You are the greatest tiny pink blessing, angel girl! Momma, Dada, and even big brother and Ryman already love you so 💝👶🏻🎀," Mattie wrote on Instagram announcing Charlie's arrival.
Alan and Denise first became grandparents in December 2022 when their daughter Ali, 32, welcomed a baby boy with her husband, Sam Bradshaw. Alan and Denise are also parents to daughter Dani, 28.
The Jackson family is growing just weeks before Alan performs his final concert. The country music legend is scheduled to play Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on June 27. Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and more country stars will take the stage to pay tribute to the “Livin’ On Love” singer.
In September 2021, Alan said he had been dealing with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease for a decade. The degenerative nerve condition was affecting his ability to walk and perform on stage. He began his Last Call: One More for the Road tour in August 2024, wrapping up in May 2025.

"I've been reluctant to talk about this publicly and to my fans, but it's been a while, and it's starting to affect my performance on stage a little bit where I don't feel comfortable," Alan told Jenna Bush Hager on Today in 2021. "I just wanted the fans and the public to know if they've come to see me in the last few years or if they come to see me in the future if I play anymore, what's going on."
“I don't want them to think I'm drunk on stage because I'm having problems with mobility and balance,” Alan said, adding that he inherited the neurological disease from his father.
Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease affects the nerves that control muscles. There is no known cure, but physical therapy, prescription medication, orthopedic devices and surgery can help manage symptoms, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.
