AMC Theatres is back with another novelty popcorn bucket, just in time for the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2.
In a social media post shared on Thursday, March 12, the movie chain announced that it would be selling some "runway-worthy" items ahead of the premiere of the Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway-led film.
AMC is set to sell a red, top-handle popcorn bucket shaped like a purse featuring a chain with a tag of the film's name and a gold charm in the shape of a shoe with a pitchfork as a heel. The chain is also offering dark 3D-glasses with the same logo on the arms.
"Get access to the highly anticipated high-fashion sequel and Runway-worthy exclusives," the chain wrote on Instagram, sharing photos of their brand-new promo items. "See THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 fashionably early at our Opening Night Event on 4/30 and more!"

The chain also teased that some new, exclusive flavors would be coming to its Coca-Cola freestyle machines for the film's theatrical run.
According to Variety, The Devil Wears Prada 2 — a sequel to the hit 2006 film starring Hathaway, Streep, Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt as well as a host of new and returning characters — will follow Streep's character, fashion magazine executive Miranda Priestly, “as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and as she faces off against Blunt’s character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.”
The core four actors will be joined by Kenneth Branagh, who will play Miranda's husband, according to Deadline. In July 2025, Variety reported more newcomers to the cast, including Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak and Pauline Chalamet. Also set to appear in the movie are Caleb Hearon and Broadway stars Helen J. Shen and Conrad Ricamora.
At the same time, Variety also reported that Tracie Thoms will return as Andie's best friend, Lily, and Tibor Feldman will return as Elias-Clark chairman Irv Ravitz.

This isn't the first time that a theater chain has released a themed popcorn bucket ahead of the release of a major film.
In 2025, Regal Cinemas debuted its Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning popcorn bucket that required a key to open it, a nod to the object at the center of Cruise's last Mission: Impossible outing, 2023's Dead Reckoning
The item featured a two-part key that combines into a larger key that opens up the top of the bucket, revealing the buttery movie theater snack inside. It's a clever reference to the object at the center of 2023's Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning, which features his character Ethan Hunt fighting to obtain a "cruciform key" in order to control an advanced and dangerous artificial intelligence known as the Entity.

AMC Theatres created a viral phenomenon when it introduced a bucket designed to resemble the fictional planet Arrakis' iconic spaceworms for the premiere of Dune: Part Two in 2024. The bucket generated conversation on social media for its unorthodox, arguably NSFW design.
That same year, AMC Theatres got Wicked into the popcorn and concessions game with matching pink-and-green buckets and soda cups for Glinda and Elphaba fans. The chain also developed limited-edition "Magnificent Mix gourmet" candy-coated pink-and-green popcorn.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is in theaters May 1, 2026.
