The When Harry Met Sally… star and his wife of 55 years Janice lived in their Palisades home from 1979 to 2025, when it was one of the many properties destroyed by one of the most devastating wildfires in southern California’s history.

“Every inch of our house was filled with love," Crystal — who shares daughters Jennifer and Lindsay and four grandchildren (Ella, Dylan, Hudson, and Griffin) with Janice — said in a statement to PEOPLE in January 2025. "Beautiful memories that can't be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this."

In his new solo show, per Crystal said in a release, he’ll “invite you to come inside 860 and I’ll tell you all the funny and touching things that happened there, not only in my career but to our family.”

The play is “a joyous and heartfelt visit,” he added, “about how with the love of family and friends and your inner strength, you can get through tough times. I look forward to returning to Broadway and welcoming audiences to 860.”

Crystal has previously appeared on Broadway in shows he also had a hand in writing, with two productions of his play 700 Sundays (earning a Tony in 2005) and 2022 musical Mr. Saturday Night

860 will be on Broadway for a strictly limited 12-week engagement.
