Brooke Shields is on a major style streak.
The actress, 59, attended the AMC Networks 2025 Upfront in New York City on Wednesday, April 9, and walked the red carpet in an on-trend sheer top.
In addition to her sheer top — which allowed her black bra to peek through — Shields added a blazer for coverage on her arms and back. The daring ensemble didn’t stop there; she also paired the mesh top and blazer with a pair of glittering black micro shorts and black mesh tights. The Blue Lagoon star completed the look with a pair of pink hoop earrings and black heeled booties.
The look comes on the heels of Shields sharing a picture of her showing off her toned physique in a black and white bikini on Instagram, on Tuesday.
“Wearing my brand new @indiahicksstyle x @sealevelaustralia bathing suit!!” she captioned the post, giving a shout out to the Australian swimwear brand’s collaboration with British designer India Hicks.
Shields’s micro shorts look will most likely get the seal of approval from her two daughters, Rowan and Grier Henchy.
“They don’t like me in Upper East Side lady clothes — all of my Today show wardrobe, whenever I hosted any show,” she told PEOPLE in 2023, referring to the more formal suits and pencil skirts she would wearing while guest hosting on the Today show or for talk show appearances. “They don’t like that; they like me much edgier,” she added.

At the time, Shields revealed that her girls wanted her to be “much more rock and roll” — and her latest outfit fits the bill.
“Total midriff. I don’t even know what it constitutes, but they’re always like, ‘Mom, you should show your belly.’ I’m like ‘Oh God, no. I don’t want to show my belly.’ ”
It appears that Shields’ girls are rubbing off on her after all: “There is a certain… youthful sense that they have helped me infuse in bits, not to be younger, but to enjoy a freshness of it,” she said in 2022.
