Cardi B brought the style to the 2026 BET Awards stage.
The rapper, 33, debuted a red hairdo during her electrifying performance at the award show held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, where she performed a slew of hits off her Am I the Drama? album.
While Cardi seemingly forwent the red carpet ahead of the ceremony, she lit up the stage with a head-turning look that included fiery red locks — a color switch-up from her usual black hair — styled down with voluptuous curls.

The rapper, real name Belcalis Almánzar, wore a multi-colored corset with an intergalactic pattern in shades of purple, pink and yellow detailing on the bust. She paired it with a purple coat that had accentuated shoulder pads and a collar, plus fishnet stockings and thigh-high purple boots.
Cardi delivered a high-energy performance, singing several songs from her Am I the Drama?album, including "Hello," "Check Please," "Errtime" and "Pretty & Petty."
She made quite the entrance, too. She began by standing on a motorcycle before joining her dancers in front of a city setting, dancing on a roulette table and showing off her skills on a pole.

The BET Awards celebrate the accomplishments of Black artists, athletes, and philanthropists and the impact they have upon the cultural zeitgeist. First established in 2001, the ceremony features live musical performances and the recognition of cultural icons. Comedian Druski is hosting this year's event.

Cardi has received six nominations across awards categories for the BET ceremony: The Viewers' Choice Award for her song "Outside," Best Collaboration for her "Errtime Remix" featuring Jeezy and Latto, Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Video Director of the Year alongside Patientce Foster, Album of the Year and the Fashion Vanguard Award.
On June 17, BET also announced that Cardi would be a featured performer at the awards ceremony. Other artists performing at the ceremony include Baby Keem, Queen Latifah, Doechii, Kehlani and Don Toliver.

Cardi B had one of the most talked-about looks of the 2026 Met Gala, stepping out on May 4 in a custom Marc Jacobs gown. The dress featured sheer black embroidery over clusters of nude, lavender and pink fabric, giving the outfit a sculpture-like quality in honor of the gala's “Costume Art” theme.
The artist is also a mainstay at some of fashion's biggest circuits. Last summer at Men's Fashion Week in Paris, she donned a sophisticated streetwear look for the Maison Margiela Haute Couture show featuring a structured trench coat, a beret and gold accents like statement hoops and sunglasses.
Additionally, Cardi brought her signature style sense to the Balenciaga Haute Couture show on July 9, where she paired voluminous waves with a black beaded gown and sheer tights.
